not sure who here watches/used to watch the original shows on trailblazers-dot-tv, but i'm a little curious how you might rank them. there's Sportlandia, Just Casey and Pre-Game Jump. i'm not including Courtside since i consider that a comcast show nor Rip City Update since it's been cancelled.
Just Casey gets my vote. Pre-Game Jump is good too, but not a convenient time for me to watch. I think Sarah is getting better and better. I'm really enjoying her recent interviews with the new players. Sportlandia is horrible.
I have never seen pre game jump, so I say Just Casey because Sportlandia is as awful as Meyers leonar_
Only saw 1 of the Just Casey's this season and it was a classic! Sent from HCPs Baller-Ass iPhone 5...FAMS!
Sportlandia is gone. (That show sucked so bad. It was the Blazers attempt to get hipsters liking in basketball.) Sarah Hecht has been promoted to be in charge of all of Blazer.tv so new shows are coming. If you have an idea for a show or a format for a show let Sarah know. On game days Casey would have Mike Rice on, Rice would have pages and pages of stats and info about the team the Blazers were playing that night. Rice may play a goofball sometimes but he really knows basketball and is an avid student of the game. If he does it this year I recommend you watch.
I thought Casey was going to kill you that day you kept calling his room during his show. Seeing how wiped out he got on the one road trip made me realize how hard it must be on the players and staff who do it all the time.
Oh ya, I forgot about that shit storm of a show! I actually really liked HCP's show. Very entertaining and cool to see the players in a relaxed setting/interview.
sorry HCP; didn't mean to leave you out. Road Trippin is pretty cool. i was just referring to regularly scheduled shows.
the only real problem i have with the shows is that they seem redundant, especially on game days. they pretty much cover the same thing. i liked Sportlandia for the very fact they threw some other Portland happenings in there. i definitely agree with you on Rice. he's kind of like the Blazers version of Terry Bradshaw. he's not afraid to be the goofball, but when he talks about the sport itself, you listen because you know his credibility is that good. unfortunately, the further i've gotten in school, the less time i've been able to devote to watching the tbtv shows. i used to like Adam on Up and Adam.
the only reason i didn't list it is that it seems more like a Comcast show than anything else. i agree with you though. loved when Rice dressed as a hot dog for Halloween!
I haven't seen anything of Mike Barrett have you? I'm subscribed to his blog but haven't received one for quite awhile.
i haven't either. he had his season ending blog and then his mock draft. nothing since. hope he's continuing it.
