The kids barely play it in the schools because it is so boring.

I don't understand why WFAN pays him a ridiculous amount of money to be sit there and talk down to everyone and be incorrect a majority of the time. ESPN is a joke so there's no sports talk competition for him to worry about. WFAN would get the same ratings if not better if they move Boomer and Carton or Joe and Evan to that time slot.

Always cracks me up when callers say "Mike, i have a couple of points i want to make" when a caller is lucky to finish 1 point before being interrupted and hung up on.

I cannot stand and I mean cannot stand Mike interviewing anybody. He doesn't let anybody finish a sentence before he's answering the question for them or before he's asking something else. I'm listening to him interviewing Terry Collins yesterday before the All Star game. Not that I really care about Collins or the Mets but if I was Terry I would've punched the guy in the face. He cuts him off and answers his own questions over and over. I don't know how Tom Coughlin and Girardi deal with it but then again they're getting paid to go on with him so I guess that's it.

Funny how many people bash him...yet they still listen enough to stay current with what he says and does

His interviews are very self-absorbed and cookie cutter, especially if it's the twice a year Bettman or Michaletti ones. He knows the history of sports well and I thought he was good back when he was CBS NCAA tournament coverage, but the FAN stuff is too Yankee oriented most of the time which is overkill. Guess it dosen't help that I'm an O's fan. His strength is actually when there's a Penn St. scandal or things like that he's pretty well versed.

I have been listening to the FAN for over 20 years. They used to have people call all the time about hockey but moron Fatcesa and Mad Dope constantly refused to take the calls. So what you have now because of that is the same 200 idiots that call up every day on baseball. Nobody else cares.

If you got a couple of hockey people on like Melrose and Joe. M. and did a couple of hours, once a week, the lines would be lit up. WFAN has kissed Fatcesa's butt forever.

b/c there's really nothing else to listen to on the 30 minute drive home. Music stations are horrible with top 40 garbage so i have to listen to sports.

If Francesa wasn't on during the commute time i would never listen to him. It's great when he's on vacation and Beningo/Roberts fill his spot.

interesting, didn't know people get paid to go on that radio interview. So like the weekly spot with Girardi/Collins, they get paid every week for it? i guess it shouldn't come as a surprise since nothing's free nowadays.

And yes, his interviews are pretty bad. "no question, no question"

This clip of Francesa announcing the new pope sums up Francesa perfectly. Just mumbling and stumbling his way through it, acting like he knows what he is talking about but just muttering nonsense non-stop for 5 minutes straight.

Pretty funny clip to get you through the slow Rangers news day

Yes, they have a contract to appear every week on the program. I like the repeated no question. That's another Francesa trademark. He repeats himself over and over.

"A-rod...do you think the hip will be a problem? Now, do you ... uhh... envision anything...could be problematic? What do you think, Alex, will give you the most problems? Will it be a problem with the hip?" (Standard Mike question)

Francesa not happy with last night's loss, lol. Listened to the first few mins of his monologue and talked about trading Rivera to the Tigers for their top OF prospect.

Trade Rivera? Never!! The guy is what, 60 or something? Let him retire a Yankee when he's good and ready.

I don't watch or care about baseball, so I might be totally wrong. Just my uninformed opinion.

Mike should start his show off every morning with, "Welcome, let's open up the lines to the same 200 morons who have been calling on baseball for 20 years."
