    That's over 115M but you have to figure that the'll resign Cano. But still, I think we're going to see a lot of new faces next season. Hopefully they're not all over 35.

    How many do you figure? I could see 10-12 for next year.

    ===================

    ...I don't know if Jeter will be back next year or not...I guess it depends on how well he plays the rest of this year, if he plays at all.
    ...if he does decide to return, I don't see why he'd opt out...if he does, the Yanx are under no obligation to give him 2 more years..besides, most of his incentives were met and I think his option is now around $16 Mil for next year.

    According to this site (if I'm reading it correctly) Jeter has a player option in 2014 for 8M or a 3M buyout.http://www.baseballprospectus.com/compensation/cots/al-east/new-york-yankees/

    BTW: this is a great site to paste & save somewhere.

    Hey Majorball, thought we lost you. Welcome back. As far as next year you first have to look at our own FAs & how many (if any) of them we'll resign. Granderson, Hafner, Kuroda, Pettitte, Youkilis, Rivera, Hughes, Logan, Robertson, Gardner, Overbay, Nix & Stewart. And I'm sure I'm missing a few.

    Of this group, I really believe the'll wave another 1 year contract in front of Kuroda. though i'm sure if they do it won't be for the 15M he's making this year. I also think they should resign Overbay as a backup to Tex. Thought honestly I'd rather see them go after 30 year old FA Kendrys Morales who's a DH / 1st baseman. Kill two birds with one stone. You have to figure that the'll also resign Logan (lefty specialist) Robertson,& Gardner. I would also resign Nix, he's a good reserve that could fill in at 2nd short & third. Catcher is going to be interesting. Remember Cervelli name is part of that list. Yeah, its going to be real interesting.

    ...Rick, again, that does does include his incentives.

    $8M Player Option, $3M Buyout 2014 option may increase to $17M based on points earned for Gold Glove, Silver Slugger, LCS MVP, WS MVP or top 6 in AL MVP

    I love the captain but I don't see ANY of those things happening. In his last year, I'll be happy with 10/50/280

    ...Rick, it doesn't have to be in his "last year"...he's already achieved some of the required incentives.
