Count me as surprised. I thought that with all the wheeling and dealing that Olshey has done, Aldridge might be excited about this team's prospects going forward. Apparently he is not.

All I can say is, good riddance! Get his butt out of here and bring in somebody else.

<bangs head on desk> How is discussing all available options (including returning to Portland) looking for a way out? It's a business. Open, honest, and thorough communication between parties is always best for both parties involved.

There are a lot of players in his situation that would be focused on only one option (extending with the team that drafted them and that they loved).

Maybe that has changed. Hard to say. Maybe the source is from LA's camp and they want him out. If so fine, trade him.

But maybe it is old news that is being resurfaced by Haynes to get attention. It did make the Home page on Hoops Hype if that counts as status.

I think LMA's tweet is telling. It was a frustrated post. I can see his eyes roll as he sent it out.

I have a sense of Deja vu as fans start to hope he is traded just to put us out of our misery. Like what happened with Sheed.

Did anyone else not notice that no one else is jumping on this rumor? I'm sorting through twitter and no announcement. You'd think this was big news. They jumped on one with more vagueness.

Even though players come out and say that to the media, pretty much every allstar on a bad team has rumors surrounding them if they are on a bad team. Hell look at all the rumors surrounding Kevin Love for the last three years.
If I'm LA or his agent, who know the business side of things, they know there are a lot of sutiors out there thwt will be making calls regarding trades for LA so I'd want to be on the same page with Olshey so I wouldn't get traded to somewhere like the bobcats. Cant blame him for that but its a HUGE difference wanting to make sure you have an input if traded to demanding a trade or requesting a trade.

    Hoopshype is hardly national exposure

I did notice that. I went to ESPN and saw nothing. Looks like Cleveland is going through the same rumors right now with Kyle Irving.

On the air for CBS Sports Radio this morning, host Brandon Tierney said “I’ve heard from someone in the know…Kyrie Irving not long for Cleveland.” Irving responded to the rumor on Twitter this morning.

Or could the "blazer camp" lead this so teams call them? Good way to start talks and interest.

My question is: how official can a meeting in a hotel lobby be?

It is a hoot to make fun of but I don't think it has to be all that official to get your point across one way or another.

This would be such a sensitive matter though. Any real "leak" would cause hysteria. Aldridge's value would plummet. There is no chance Blazer Brass does anything like this in public. It would most definitely be in private.

I personally don't think Aldridge is requesting a trade (yet). I do think he is saying that I want to dictate where I go if you move me (which I don't think I would listen to personally but I not BlazerBrass - Do the best deal for the team regardless).

It's Chris Haynes people, I'm taking all this with a grain of salt. It's the tail end of SL and they need to keep people going to the CSNNW page. Are we going to get the same threads over the next year everytime one of these vague reports comes out?
