Re: UFC 163: Aldo vs. Korean Zombie (Aug/3) Dunno if Jose Aldo is getting more patient or if his opponents are getting more tentative. Starting to get like GSP's fights where the challenger doesn't engage. Sad to see TKZ throw his shoulder out but he was never going to win the fight. Not sure why people are up in arms over the Davis decision. Machida spends the whole fight backing up and trying to counter punch. The judges usually favour the more active fighter. Machida's opponents determine the kind of fight he's going to have. He needs to assert himself more. As for Davis I'm not sure where this win puts him. He's got a win over Gustafsson (and a nice one at that) but does anyone want him to be the number two contender? Maybe a fight with the Shogun/Sonnen winner makes sense. Didn't see most of the other fights. Typical Brazilian card.
