<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><span style="font-size:12pt;line-height:100%">Kukoc says 'it looks like I'm done'</span>With no available NBA jobs close to home, Toni Kukoc appears resigned to staying there for this season and beyond."It looks like I'm done," Kukoc told The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel after playing in a charity golf tournament. "There are teams that want me, but I don't want to go far from home."Kukoc, who lives in Highland Park, Ill., only wanted to play for the Bucks or the Bulls. He played for Milwaukee the past four seasons."My choice was either Chicago or Milwaukee," he told the newspaper. "Milwaukee is going with a young team and Chicago is in need of a big guy, so that's it."The 38-year-old Kukoc said that he won't miss basketball if this indeed is the end of his career."I think it's time for me to move away from basketball. It was a huge part of my life and gave me pretty much everything I desired but there comes a time when you just can't take it anymore."I can still play 10, 15, 20 minutes, maybe, but I don't need it anymore. I always felt like I needed to play basketball. Right now, it's not my most desirable thing anymore. I'd rather play golf," he told the newspaper. The Bulls drafted Kukoc in the second round in 1990. With Chicago, the Croatia native won the Sixth Man Award in 1996 and NBA titles from 1996-98.Kukoc also has played for Philadelphia and Atlanta. He averaged 4.9 points per game last season for Milwaukee in 65 games and averaged 11.6 ppg over his 13-year career.Information from SportsTicker was used in this report.</div>Link

He's still in the league? Yeah retirement definitely should be coming soon for Kukoc. He has been in the league for awhile. Nice career for him winning 3 championships.

I loved watching Kukoc play. A big man that could shoot very well, an <you>excellent</you> passer, good teammate, and he hustled. He had a great career, and was a huge contributor in Chicago. I wish Kukoc the best for the rest of his life, whatever he chooses to do.

Damn, man. I loved watching him play, too. He gave us a good idea what foreign ball was like. Oh well, he's been in the L for a long time, so I guess he should call it quits.

He had a great career, and was one of the pioneers to Euro players coming over to the NBA in the 90's. See ya Kukoc.

Funny how people talk about Toni Kukoc and how great he was and that he was such a great example of how a basketball player should be...but today we completley rip apart soft European players with an all-around game...Apparently eveyone likes Kukoc even though he couldn't play a lick of defense, couldn't shoot FT's or rebound. I thought Kukoc was a nice role player and could give you 17ppg sometimes when you needed it but the last 3 years he's only stuck around because of his passing.

He hasnt been doing much lately... he should retire. It's his choice though. He's got his 3 rings, more than what more deserving players get. Take them and run man!

I was always a fan of his. He was like the only member of the Championship team still active in the NBA while the others were getting waived, traded around until eventually getting waived....I wish he would play some more because he's still got a lot of game left in him imo but it's ok because well.....he has his rings.
