Has Anyone Here Tried 'Lean', 'Purple Drank', or 'Sizzurp'?

    I ask because I had no idea that people could get high off of mixing Sprite/Arizona Watermelon Fruit Cocktail/Grape Soda/etc., then throwing in some Jolly Ranchers/Skittles/cherry bombs/etc. for more sweetening and sugar, and then mixing it with OTC Robitussin DM.

    Has anybody here actually tried to make it? If so, what are the results?

    Do you make this stuff up, or do you have a source? Recipe quantities are missing. If you put in enough cough medicine, why sure you'll feel funny in the head. You'll need the sugar as a mixer, as with bad-tasting liquor.

    Okay. So cough syrup goes under a different name now. Mom doesn't keep a big jar of sugar on the kitchen counter anymore, because she's too lazy to cook. So now you have to mix in candy.

    Looking up, I notice the Moon's out tonight. Amazing how things have changed.

    If I could ever get ahold of some, I could tell you about it. Mostly from what I understand, everything slows down and you feel like you're leaning(or actually are leaning, not sure)

    We didn't mix it with anything, but when I was a teen in the 60's we would drink Romelar cough syrup before going to the dances. The codeine was plenty to get you serious screwed up if you drank a whole bottle or two.

    My mother used to fix a batch but I stopped coughing in 1939. Then the athlete's foot started so she mixed Cracker Jack and Ben-Gay. Got me through Iwo Jima.

    The only part I did here was the robo DM when I was I high school. It was a common cheap way to get fucked up with kids then. We just bought a few bottles plugged our noses and chugged the whole thing. It mostly made me fall asleep before I get the buzz but the few times I stayed awake I was really fucked up. Once my buddy at my house and I did it, it made him sick and the next morning I had to explain to my parents why there was a huge patch of frozen pink barf in the snow outside.
