I hate people who protest things like "industrialism" or "globalisation" and greenies!(envirionmentalists). These wankers usually are protesting things that they dont understand. You see footage of them protesting "industrialism" and they are wearing Nike t-shirts and wearing Levi's ... so they are protesting what they are wearing?Or the globalisation tossers whose main tools for organising a protest are mobile phones and the internet? DER -thats globalisation at its best. The greenie tree huggers are the worst, they complain about greenhouse gasses and logging and the live in houses and drive cars.... they usually drive old combivans (Volkswagons) that blow more smoke than anything else on the road. I get so pissed off about these people and wish they would stop protesting and go out and get a job!!Does anyone else hate them as much as me?
I dont hate them for having great outlooks on enery conservation and such, and the whole hypocritical thing is very true, but that is not in all cases. It's not really as bad as you put it out to be
I would never protest unless it was something that was really important and relevent to the world in general and not just one little thinghttp://www.worldcantwait.org/ is something I would support
I protest your hating on protestors! As long as they aren't protesting stupid crap like "LET ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS STAY, IT'S NOT LIKE WE'RE ILLEGAL" I don't really care.

Would you support a guy saying "killing animals is wrong" if he was wearing a leather jacket and eating maccas. If you pay close attension mostly they are protesting one thing and doing another.
I went to Boston over the summer and protested against those gay people with some friends. It was aight.
I have no problem with people protesting, it's our right and I'm glad that some people still care enough to go out and support something they care about. It's just too bad so many of these protestors are complete idiots. One reason why protesting is less effective is because it doesn't effect people. Like in the 1960's, the hippy dress...etc...pissed off the protestors opposition and they were considered a threat. Today I feel protestors would have more of an impact if they were better organized, common message, common clothing and signs..etc...But now they are jumbled messes nobody takes seriously.
Well, I could see on first glance how they definitely could be hypocritical, but I don't necessarily think that they are. As far as clothes go, well, unless they make their own clothes, they are probably going to wear something industrialized (and something that is indirectly polluting the world, but that's a whole different can of worms). The VW could be a very hypocritical thing (I assume you're being semi-stereotypical about this, which is fine), but it could also be that they can't afford a better vehicle. Not everyone can buy a hybrid civic or whatever they want. I know I can't. But yeah, if they're driving around all day listening to Phish, then that is hypocritical, yeah. I don't think there's anything hypocritical about driving a car that you happen to be able to afford.
I don't mind protesters, as long as thats all they do. when I get to hating them is when they go beyond protesting. such as harassing scientist or bogging research down with court injustions.
