I think Nash was horrific. Selecting Telfair instead of a player like Al Jefferson was a mistake. Then to try and validate his previously poor decision he makes our worst GM decision of the last 30 years in taking Martell instead of CP3 or Deron. Lots of fans will say the Oden pick was worse, but that was the correct decision at the time. Nobody thought Martell was near the prospect of CP3, we just wanted a SG and targeted Martell or Gerald Green. Green was picked in the 20’s. Nash also wasted first round picks on guys like Sergi Monya and Victor Khrapa. Not being able to get any long term assets of value when he broke up a veteran playoff team. Then grossly overpaying players like Theo Ratliff that prevented the team from rebuilding during the dark years. One of the only bright spots for Nash was signing Joel Pryzbilla.

    1. Bob Whitsitt -- most success
    2. Neil Olshey -- no results yet, but he at least seems like he has a plan.
    3. Kevin Pritchard -- 2006 draft, always got what he wanted in the draft even if they were wrong picks. I liked the excitement during draft days when he was here.
    4. Rich Cho -- got us Gerald Wallace and we woulda won some series were it not for Roy going down.
    5. Chad Buchanan -- made the Felton trade and picked Nolan, but also traded Gerald for a lotto pick when we thought we wouldn't get anything in return.

    6. Steve Patterson -- supposedly made the Roy pick, but I don't believe him. Slimy POS
    7. John Nash -- *shudder*

    Glickman over all.

EDIT: Finally found a full list of Portland GM's... Here's the pre-Whitsitt GM's:

    Harry Glickman (1970-1981)
    Stu Inman (1981-1986)
    Jon Spoelstra (1986-1989)
(nobody in 1989-90! - probably Bucky Buckwalter)
    Geoff Petrie (1990-1994)

    My full rankings:

    Glickman (championship)
    Inman (Clyde, Terry)
    Buckwalter (Buck Williams, finals run)
    Petrie (maintained, another finals run)
Whitsitt (deep playoff runs, no finals run)
    Olshey (Damian, CJ)
Pritchard (LaMarcus, return to the playoffs)
    Buchanan (dumped Wallace)
    Cho (got Wallace)
    Nash (hatchet man)
    Patterson (slimeball)
