Yes. I tried to pick something easy because I really thought the translators were going to do much more damage. All in all, the result made me laugh because it's exactly how I think someone speaking broken English would translate it.
Jane Says is late 80's which threw me off at first since you said 90's alt. but that is when it got famous.
Wow... it actually was late 80's. I guess with the caveat of "90's alt era," that still applied, but sorry for throwing ya'll off like that. That was a song that I heard as a child all throughout the 90's, like you said, "when it got famous." I've tried my hand at a few of ya'lls current postings, but I can't crack them. Really interested to see what they are, but in the meantime, since my last one was guessed, here's a song from 1975 (made sure to look up the date this time). This was a controversial song for a few reasons, but if I said more than that, I'd give it away. -------------- "There was a shooting in a bar, three men died, and a woman witnessed this after the fact. I'll tell you the story of the falsely accused athlete. As the bodies were laying there, a man who was admittedly intending on robbing the bar denied murdered the three men. The falsely accused athlete was pulled over for being black, distant from the murder scene, because of his race. Later, after being arrested, this athlete was brought into one of the dying men's hospital room, and even though he could barely see, he said he was not the shooter." The long, awesome, and controversial narrative continues from there... any guesses?
^^^ Given the demographics of the forum, that one should be easy to figure out. By the way, I actually dig this format of the game, julius... great idea. Some of these are unexpectedly hard to figure out. I'm just wondering if they're not just obscure...
Now that this one has dropped back a page, I'll give it to you. It's "Beat It". "Oh yeah, now I see it," you say. I understand...
Some of the answers are songs I've quite literally never heard. Like the country ones and "your love is king"
They both seem so damn familiar though... I know I'll smack my forehead when someone else figures them out.
Well Eastoff got it and improved the entry, but to make it official we were going for Creep by Radiohead. Congrats Eastoff, you win a rep. Don't spend it all in one place.
By my will my ocular cavity is shut, briefly for an interval of time and the interval of time is over, everyone of my wishes go before my consciousness then are made true, small particles moving through the air, our collective is only small particles moving through the air.
I can picture every move that a man could make Getting lost in her lovin' is your first mistake Sundown ya better take care If I find you been creepin' 'round my back stairs Sometimes I think it's a sin When I feel like I'm winnin' when I'm losin again
