Honestly I think they're just to many holes to fill to make this a playoff team this year. Hell even if we DFA Hafner & Signed someone like Morales or McLouth from the Orioles. It just wouldn't be enough. And I don't want to see this team pick up some rentals for the next 60 games & lose one or two of our kids they show some promise (Almonte / Sanchez)

You obviously don't understand what having a vision for the future means. This team has none. Soriano is more proof of that. A team with no plan.

Nope. Sorry. If anyone would rather the yanks add to this broken roster with even more old decaying players vs trying to sell off what you can to look toward being in a better position down the road that is being an uneducated, spoiled fan. Simple as that.

Answere me this. What exactly is the vision and direction of this team? To have as many 40 year old position players as possible? All to get under the cap. For what? To dump it all into bad free agent deals? Have you seen the free agent class? Who are they getting? How are they getting a reasonable deal from cano? Jeter, arod, and ever OF spot besides CF are pushing 40. Who in the farm is geared up to replace these guys? How does this team get better?

I get it but christ. This team has been to the playoffs every year but one since 1993. We haven't seen a rough patch in twenty years. Now some act like they want all the problems fixed overnight so the yankees can be World Series contenders immediately.

No see that's just it. I don't expect them fixed overnight. I want then to sell. I am willing to deal with a few down years in order to come back strong. What I do NOT want is more over the hill players. More terrible free agent deals. That's where this is headed starting with cano. The farm is useless. How does this team possibly get better? You tell me. By overpaying a bunch of new players to go with the five 40
Year olds? They need to rebuild the farm. And they need a with a vision and a plan. At the very least, a clue.

Anyone they can. Possibly even cano considering he is looking at a 7 year deal at min. Hughes, Joba, even Kuroda. Anyone who is not part of the long term plan.

...what in the hell do you expect to get in return by selling 4 players who will be free agents in 3 months anyway?

...you've already condemned the Yanx management as being incapable of developing talent...so what good would it do?

No I think messiah is just a little confused about what I am saying. I am hardly the fan looking to fix all these issues overnight. Quite the opposite. It's those fans that are coming across as dumb.

Whatever you can. I said sell anyone you can who is not in the plan. That prettying means anyone besides Gardner, Robertson and some other pen guys and the young starters. Spme guys are immovable obviously but not all. Cano obviously has a ton of value. Kuroda might get you something from a contender. I still think Hughes has value in the right places. Or keep them and take the draft picks next year. I fail to see the point of adding soriano to this team. That's the point. They are buying for the sake of buying to appease these dumb spoiled fans I a desperate attempt to keep the ratings and attendance from dropping.

Hughes and Joba aren't getting you anything. Their trade value is way down. They will be picked up in free agency and they're better off taking the picks. They're not moving Cano or Kuroda because they will never admit the season is over. On top of that they're free agents in a couple of months so teams aren't draining their farm system for a deadline deal like that.

So tell me. What is the teams plan? Add more 37 year olds, get under the cap and fall right back into the trap of bad free agent deals because the farm sucks? Not being able to admit this team is too flawed to fix is part of the problem. And if you don't want another 7-8-9 year deal on Cano, you trade him now for whatever the best deal you can get.

Blue the point is and you are right, there is no plan, that is clear, listening to so called experts in the media feel we have enough pitching to get to the playoff, I don't feel that way. I am for blowing it up, I am not into paying Cano stupid money or terms, but Hal and Hank are about making money, cable subscriptions, not world series... And that may be the plan, Milk the business model till they can get out.

...your answer is to close your eyes and "sell" and acquire prospects that according to you, the Yanx are incapable of nurturing...but yeah, you have a "plan".

Yes I know. I've mentioned trading current players many times. If you aren't trading cano or Hughes. Who are they trading. All those great prospects?

What is your plan? To agree with everything the brain dead checked out GM does? You keep talking about all this money coming off. Who you getting with it? For How many years are these wisely made deals we seem to think cashman is capable of despite never showing the ability?

Part of my plan is overhauling player development and first and foremost getting a new GM.
