Ok, so I have mainly been a Ducks fan during the season, watch most games, but that's it. I want more. With my blazers I know year round everything that's going on from GM to the end of bench player. With the Ducks, I'm not looking to go that far, but I would love a better working knowledge of what's changing season to season. So, new coach, new players, old players new rolls, what to expect and follow as the ducks season nears. Please help a brother out.
Coaches: In- Head Coach: Mark Helfrich (Promoted from Offensive Coordinator/QB Coach) Offensive Coodinator/ QB's Coach: Scott Frost (Promoted from WR's Coach) WR's Coach/ Recruiting Coordinator: Matt Lubick- Outside Hire from Duke. Regarded by some sites as a top 10 recruiter Defensive Line Coach:Ron Aiken- Spent the last 6 years as DL Coach for Arizona Cardinals in NFL. Top 10 Rush Defense in NFL while there, and Top half in Sacks per year. Was at Iowa before that in same position. OUT - Head Coach: Chip Kelly DL Coach: Jerry Azzirano Players: Increased Roles/Incoming players to keep an eye out for: True Freshman who I think will play this year. 5* Recruit RB - Thomas Tyner, 4* DE/LB Torrodney Prevot, 4* Athlete (LB) Tyrell Robinson and maybe 4* Offensive Lineman Cameron Hunt Redshirt Freshman/Names you might not know now, but will during Season. WR- Bralon Addison played as a true Freshman, and has been tearing it up in spring and workouts, per reports. Ultra Athletic Tight End - Pharaoh Brown also reports of his excelling. Also played as True Freshman. I'm salivating at the thought of throwing 2 TE sets out there with him and Lyerla. WR- Chance Allen coming off a Redshirt year. been hearing good things about him in workouts. Thats just a few on players.. overall I expect a very good season, the continued continuity of coaches makes this transition a ton easier!
I read a quote from him recently (paraphrasing)... "People who don't know me usually think I'm a football player who has to go to school. The people who know me know I'm a student who happens to also play football" I've heard he's doing great in school including one semester getting straight A's. Not that I really know whats what with him but my guess is he stays a 4th year and gets his degree STOMP
here's a tidbit... Sophomore TJ Daniel has switched from TE to the DLine. He's 6'6 & 260 currently and says he'll be beefing up in the coming months http://www.goducks.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=500&ATCLID=208780661 with the RG going Pay Per View, awesome to see Moseley switch over to GoDucks STOMP
