...I thought he was cooking up some meth somewhere on the outskirts of Spokane by now, who knew :dunno:

I'm happy I wasn't GM because I would have drafted him if he was available.

...you were sold on the Great White Stache of Hope?! I do miss his awkward spinning drives to the elbow, jump stop, fade away jumpers off the back iron though. :sigh:

...really, what are you referring to specifically? You've always been rather pompous, but I'm not sure why your comment was necessary or relevant?

Did I misread you thinking that Morrison was cooking meth outside of Spokane?

Drugs seemed relevant to your OP, your avatar, and your OT posts. I just wonder why you thought Morrison was cooking meth. Seems like you may have some insight on it, given your own agenda here. Do you have inside info on Morrison being a meth cook? :dunno:

...not sure what meth has to do with this so-called "pot fetish" you speak of, your guess is as good as mine there.

"Drugs"...yeah, that's it! To quote your signature, "True sarcasm doesn't need green font." The agenda was to post a funny looking photo of Adam balling in summer league with a sarcastic anecdote for those that may have had no clue he was still playing basketball. You're a real *deleted* *deleted*, you know that.

I thought you potheads were the giggly type who just shrugged things off and laughed. You mentioned drugs, and I thought it was relevant since you're such an advocate of legalizing drugs.

My bad. I thought you'd get my joke as well.

I never advocated drafting the stache but I still have no idea how he's not an NBA caliber starter, not even a rotation player, not even an NBA player. I understand he can't guard anyone, but neither can Steve Nash and he's been an MVP.

I'm an advocate of legalizing drugs too, and I never do them. Why people have to make everything personal on on an internet message board I will never understand.

The way I've always seen it is that Morrison needs to be an offensive focal point to be productive. Charlotte was able to make him that focal point in his rookie year, and he was a really good player in stretches of that rookie year, but at the end of the day, his shooting dipped, his confidence dropped, and therefore, Charlotte's confidence in Morrison dropped.

The problem is that Morrison's a natural scorer, but he can't really do much else, so the trade Los Angeles really ruined his career. He wasn't a great defender or facilitator, so a ball-dominant player like Morrison never saw the light of day in an offense that was headed by Kobe Bryant, maybe the most ball-dominant player in the game.

As a big fan of NCAA basketball, I've always rooted for Adam Morrison though. He had one of the greatest NCAA careers of all-time, and he gave us one of the most exciting chases for the Wooden Award as junior at Gonzaga, going head-to-head with senior J.J. Redick, from the traditional Duke powerhouse. I'll never forget that season. Both players were playing out of their minds, with Morrison averaging 28 ppg on 50% FG/43% 3pt and Redick averaging 27 ppg on 47% FG/42% 3pt. Both players seemed destined for greatness (well, at least Morrison... the writing was sort of on the wall for Redick being a niche player).

Is Luke Babbitt better than Adam Morrison?

...speaking of amazing NCAA careers, is Jimmer on the outs in Sacto? Could the Blazers get him on the cheap? He might not be that "vet PG" that we covet, but I think he could be a nice risk vs reward move for our new GM.

Jimmer for Luke - straight up?

I like Sacramento's signing of Brooks, but wouldn't it have made more sense for the Sacramento GM to shop Fredette before signing Brooks? I've never felt confident in Fredette's abilities to make it on the NBA level, but he's only one year removed from being drafted #10 overall. Personally, I thought that was an awful draft pick, but wouldn't you think their GM would try to yield value in return for Fredette before signing Brooks and basically telling the rest of the league that they made a mistake?

As for your trade proposal, would you really want to take on Jimmer's bigger contract just to get rid of Babbitt, as a Blazers fan? I understand Babbitt's not really offering much to the Blazers, but Jimmer is essentially a shorter, poorman's J.J. Redick. You'd be paying more money for someone who would do nothing but eat up the PG minutes that'll be valuable for Lillard's development.

I appreciate someone with a never say die attitude like Morrison. The guy has been kicked down by NBA fans so much and just keeps coming back.
