Sure, he's the only one getting pick and rolls called for him. That's not really a big deal, considering there is no team defense in this game. It's hilarious. Coach K is a decent coach, but the favoritism at this point is noticeable. They are calling Irving "unguardable" right now. Well yeah, he's the only one getting a pick every time down the floor.
Clearly trolling, even after you whine about people disrespecting your posts. Mods won't do shit, though.
Dame looked awful. Rushing shots, getting blown by on D. Just one game obviously, but perhaps I need to tone down my DWade-esque 2nd year leap projections.
He had that one nice dunk... And a lot of players looked bad. Now's the time to look bad so you're motivated to work hard over the rest of the Summer.
He tried to take over the game with selfish shots, but he missed them all. He got too much into a duel with Kyrie Irving. He should have stuck to playmaking.
Now's the time to have these struggles and learn from them, so he knows what to do next time in a similar situation. Some people learn from these types of performances, some do not. I'm confident Damian will really learn from the experience, given that's what typically happens after he struggles. He will be better for it (as will the Blazers).
Yup he never really had a long string of bad games in a row. He bounces back quickly. But that was not a good showing if they're gonna use these performances to make decisions for the team
This assumes that he gets another chance next summer, a tryout in which the coaches aren't biased by what they saw yesterday.
I saw some clip yesterday with Coach K telling Dame not to run plays, just to freelance or whatever. Sounds like sage advice.
When I wrote that, it was halftime. I thought it was 50-50 it might happen! I was hoping that was true. So he played selfishly because he was told to. Good.
Uh, I don't care about USA basketball. Well, I do. I want them to win and do well. But I really don't care whether he makes the team or not. It has it's benefits and detriments. I want Damian to improve and be the best basketball player he can be for the Blazers, and if that means playing on Team USA, great. If not, great. So long as he learns and brings this back onto the court for the Blazers. That's what matters to me.
How unpatriotic! We should all take pride in his leading our national team to the greater glory of our leader!
