I really believe so, I really really didnt like the trade... Caron was my 2nd favorite lakerBut aside from the bias, Caron put up pretty good numbers for the wizards and Kwame has been disapointing me since the trade (he has been shaping up as of late, but we needed him the whole season)Let's just say if I could take back the trade I would.

I am having a tough time deciding, On any other team I would rather have Butler, On the Lakers I would take Kwame. He fills more of a need than Butler does on this team.Caron Butler wouldn't have been the factor Brown was in the Phoenix series, They needed to use Brown to pound the ball down inside. Had it been Butler the series would have never gone 7 games.

Yup, they needed Kwame's size. Phoenix may have swept them with Butler still in the lineup.

I'd do this trade 100 out of 100 times if I'm the Lakers. In 2005 they were getting murdered defensively, especially on the inside. Mihm couldn't play more than about half the game because of foul trouble, a.nd that would leave Odom and Brian Grant (who evidently left in the summer of 2005) to guard the 7 footers of the league. They got murdered, Kwame changed that. I really believe he can guard any big man in the league. He made the Lakers D respectable again (or at least not horrendous).BTW, with Kwame coming in at Power Forward, Lamar Odom was allowed back to Small Forward, his natural position. Lamar Odom>Caron Butler

Considering the Lakers needs, I'd go with Kwame Brown because they desperately needed more big men and he could defend pretty well.

That was a spam post. Looks like you havnt learned :no1:For the lakers, I would rather Kwame. They already have Kobe and Lamar at the wing positions who can score alot of points. They have no depth downlow, and they needed Kwame for defense. Without Kwame their frontcourt would be a complete disaster. Thats why I think they need Kwame more.

I'm going with Kwame. For any other team, it'd definitely be Caron Butler, but for the Lakers, Kwame's the guy. He might not put up numbers like Caron did this past season, but Kwame did fill in for Chris Mihm. Mihm could hardly play a full season, let alone a full game. Kwame had to take over. Though Kwame does not average 1 or 2 blocks per game, he's still a good defender. He's defense is better than his offense. Also, without Caron, Odom took over the SF spot again, which was a good thing for the Lakers.
