I don't care for any of them. Big Suck is OK when talking football. Dan Patrick can be OK. But one problem I have is all the commercials. It makes the national shows seem as if they're nothing but 2-3 minute sound bites and talking sports. I guess the best I have heard is Softy in Seattle.
I do like they now have that 620am station in Portland so I just flip between the three of them while driving, don't end up on too many commercials. At the office I usually have primetime going and don't mind the commercials as much I shouldn't be listening to the radio for long anyways.
Not a lot of sports radio here in Seattle. I like Mitch in the Morning a lot though. It is very local, but his interviews are pretty entertaining. He has a very unique interview style with very long questions that seem to get very specific answers. I like the Seahawks talk on his show and Hugh Millen provides a loy of x's and o's stuff that you don't really get on a typical sports talk radio. I also have listened to Artrell Hawkins and he isn't bad for such a recent player. I used to like Rome, and still do, but he isn't in Seattle and I don't stream much. Last time I listened to him qas after the GB-Sea game to listen to his interviews and GB fan reactions.
SVP and Ruesillo seem to span the "I'm going to talk about what I think, and not what groupthink thinks" with the "informed about what I'm talking about" bridge. Ruesillo can grate on me from time to time, but he seems to know what he's talking about. I actually think that, for as utterly douchey as he is, Cowherd's right more often than not. +1 to whoever said Kuselias. Haven't heard him for years, but there was a time when he did it with his brother (who seemed like more of a casual fan) and it was pretty good. In SEA, I liked Mitch more than Softy. Softy is over-the-top homerific when it comes to the Huskies, and lets absolute idiots onto the air just so he can argue with them. Mitch had good interviews, and while he was generally more pessimistic (easy to be with the late 00's Seahawks and Mariners) he seemed to know his stuff. He would bring on the Beano Bryant segment every week to talk about college FB, which was a bit endearing. I would get the last hour or so of the Comcast replay of Isaac/Suke on CSNNW in SEA, and I didn't like it much at all. Maybe compared to POR people they're good, but it was hard listening to them (or maybe they've just gotten better).
