Do you think he has a shot at the MIP award next season? I think he has a great chance to show his talent in Indiana. He has alot of potential but he didn't seem to fit in with the Dallas Mavericks last year. Playing for a coach like Rick Carlisle will only help his cause.
Considering he will most likely be backing up Stephen Jackson I don't see how he will win most improved player.
I think he could have a shot, hell have more freedom in Indy than he had here in Dallas. The Fact that he'll be a backup could hurt him, but I could see him putting up good enough numbers for the MIP.
Yes, and Daniels is one my fantasy sleepers this year (shh, don't tell anyone). I think he will be a top 5 candidate. Here's why:1. He is a combo guard, and he can handle big minutes at the 2 or the point. He can score or feed off others, and he's a hustler.2. Tinsley is not going to last the season, as usual, so later on in the year Daniels will handle a decent amount of backup PG minutes, which will increase is mpg - in essence increase his statistics.3. He's a "Rick Carlisle type of player." He hustles, he's versatile and can handle 2 positions, he defends, he's athletic, and he doesn't dominate the ball. In fact, he plays better when he is involved in a slowed down, set offense - much like Indiana's style. Will he win MIP, I'm not so sure. But I would bet that he is a top 5 candidate.
No, but I think he'll be in the race. If he can stay healthy and consistent. That's the only reason he fell so out of flavor in Dallas. He was never able to stay in the rotation. He either got injured or played horrible for a stretch that led to him being the odd man out. Also, he never was able to strive off the bench, he played better as a starter which may continue in Indy if he plays behind S-Jax. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>He hustles, he's versatile and can handle 2 positions, he defends, he's athletic, and he doesn't dominate the ball.</div> I think he needs to dominate the ball to score(well when he had that scoring outburst in 04 playoffs, he dominated the ball). He tends to have tunnel vision on drives and likes to post up. He cuts well though, so I guess he doesn't have to dominate the ball. Also, wouldn't put him much at pg, he can play there but not in long stretches.
