Iron Man 3 because RD Jr. is the best actor of his generation. He can make an action flick seem dramatic.

I'm shocked at the person who didn't like The Dark Knight. The back story of getting too much of what you want, and then having someone completely twist the rules in terms of societal norms, was riveting to me.

Just watched Django Unchained. Hard to believe that movie was almost 3 hours, because I wanted more. Tarantino is a genius.

Looking forward to Gatsby, although I do wish they had followed the Scorsese/Vincent Chase idea and modernized it. That story would still play well in a modern setting.

Zero Dark Thirty was pretty good, but really not Oscar-worthy, IMO.

 

It comes out June 21st.

So is the studio. I heard they completely rewrote the last third of it and its budget is over $200m now. Seems like a Waterworld-esque failure.

 

I have to say the movie "Mud" With Matthew McConaughey has been the most surprising movie of 2013 so far! I saw Star Trak: Into Darkness last night and I was a little disappointed in it. 3 out of 5 stars for me. I still want to see this one though.

2013? I'm still trying to catch up on 2012 haha... I've got The Master, Argo, and Django Unchained on the to-watch list. Can't remember the last time I went to the theaters...

Heard Richard Roeper on the radio saying what a bad movie Gatsby was, but I might still hit the theaters for that one. Have you seen it yet, PapaG (or anyone else for that matter)?

 

I have, The movie is good but a bit slow and longer than it has to be. I try to go to at least a movie a week. I enjoy going to the theaters and watching a good movie. I like going on Tuesday because it's only 6 dollars and sometimes you get free popcorn.
