VooDoo Season Comes to An End

    The New Orleans VooDoo (5-13) fell to the Orlando Predators (7-11) 71-42 in front of a crowd of 13356 inside the Amway Center Saturday night.

    Orlando opened up the game with a Garcia 20-yard touchdown pass to Rodriguez. The VooDoo countered that touchdown with a touchdown of their own, as WR Larry Beavers returned a kick for 58 yards. Both Orlando and New Orleans would score one more time to make it a tied, 14-14, game to end the first quarter.

    The second quarter would prove productive for the Predators as the scored 16 points against the VooDoo. The VooDoo managed to tighten the gap in the second quarter with a 9-yard pass from QB Chris Dixon to WR L.J. Castille. However, the Predators managed to score with :02 second left on the clock with a 3-yard pass WR Maurice Williams to close out the first half.

    Orlando opened up the second half with a touchdown pass from QB Aaron Garcia to T.T. Toliver. The VooDoo managed to score off of a 25 yard touchdown pass to WR Donovan Morgan. The Preds scored one more time to close out the third making it 50-35.

    The VooDoo did not prove to be successful in the fourth quarter with only one score form QB Chris Dixon. However, Orlando scored three more time extending their lead and making the final score 71-42 The New Orleans VooDoo overcame injuries and adjusted throughout the 2013 season. However, their fight was just not hard enough, as their season has come to an end Saturday, July 27.
