With all due respect, but if my last name was Mullin, I would've hired Paul Silas instead of Don Nelson.Silas connected with Baron Davis, for one reason. And then another thing: there are a lot of coaches in the L, and I considered Silas to be one of the better ones, but damn, why doesn't he have a job right now? That's a damn shame. :no3:
I agree with you man. Paul Silas is one hell of a coach, and he definitely deserves to be a head coach in this league. I'm sure he has been contacted by a few teams whenever they had coaching vacancies, and my guess would be that he probably either needed/wanted a break from coaching, is just waiting for the right situation, or has just moved on in his life.I know he's in the NBATV studio from time to time whenever it is "Game Night" on NBATV.
I love Paul Silas, and I have been waiting for him to get a job ever since Cleveland let him go. The man knows what he's doing, and he is a no-nonsense kind of guy, yet somewhat of a "players coach." I would rather Silas was coaching this team instead of Doc. Silas makes good in-game decisions (Doc's biggest weakness). But the bottom line: Paul Silas deserves a head coaching job in the NBA, and I hope he gets one soon.
I don't think he's that great, he's always coached gutter teams (San Diego, Charlotte, Cleveland) but he had a good run in Charlotte. I think he's good, just not as good as some of you think.
