Question About Dame

A while back his entourage beat up a kid who took Dame's pic as he watched. What was the outcome?

 

I think he joined a gang and is on a gang sign flashing mall tour as we speak

 

One of the "kids" is now 28 so I guess the outcome aged him quickly. His 21 year old brother
does not seem to have the same issue.

So far, out of all the unanimous knucklehead respones, this one I like best.

 

After reading some tweets by Damian, I get the impression the story was true. I think Damian is from Oakland and he still has that mindset. But we don't pay him to be a great guy. We pay him to play basketball, and he can do that just swell.

 

Dame is so evil, his street name is "Damian".

But my point, and I was hoping someone was bright enough to pick up on, is that he gets a free pass by the media for something he'd be roasted alive for were he not 'Dame'. I don't like giving him preferential treatment to have his posse beat on people.

So this whole post was pretty much you trying to get people to talk about how bad Dame is as a person and that he shouldn't get preferential treatment? OK. Why didn't you just say that in your post? "I wonder why this swept under the rug and we haven't heard anything. Is he getting preferential treatment?" or is there more to the story that we don't know? Hmm.

 

OK, that was funny.

 

I could say, learn to read, but what would be the point?

So let me spell it out so a second grader could understand it…. [geeze, like I need this]

So Dame is getting some love for initially not allowing a kid to take his photo and then he makes it up to the kid for appearances sake. OK, I get that. Image is everything.

But he is a leader in the fight against bullies and his own posse, while he approvingly watches, beats the crap out of a guy who snapped an innocent picture of him. Now, maybe it’s just me, but this seems like bullying someone who certainly didn’t deserve it.

What I was asking, and will do so again just for you to understand, is whatever happened to that incident? Did Dame apologize? Did the guy get an attorney and make an out of court settlement? There had to have been a conclusion to all of it and since the media appears to be giving Dame a free pass on this beat down, it should be reported somewhere. I was just trying to find out.

There, now I hope you feel better. Drink your hot cocoa before bed, don’t forget to brush your teeth.

 

I would like to know the resolution of this as well. Because so far, I have seen no evidence that any of what you described actually happened.

 

I thought the guys who did the beating weren't in his posse, they were just hangers-on as his group went from one club to another.

 

There was a You Tube vid and it was covered on all the Portland news stations AAAAAAAAAAAAAAANDDDDD it was a thread on S2 so you know it has to be true.
