http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/5860712...40813162&ATT=73It is a really good read. I learned alot of stuff from reading this. Rosen is a great analyst. He knows alot about the NBA's history.
Please, don't call Rosen "a great analyst." He's probably the worst I've read. For example, did you read this part? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Zeke's favorite little trick was exercised on defense, when he was wont to step on an opponent's plant-foot just the unsuspecting player was trying to take off with ball in hand and jump to the basket. If the refs never caught on to this nasty business, Thomas's peers were well aware that their careers were jeopardized whenever they tried to beat Zeke to the hoop. And this was the primary reason why MJ refused to play on the original Dream Team if Thomas was included on the roster.</div>I don't even want to talk about what he says about modern players.
Charley Rosen is an idiot, I like some of his stuff but I don't understand why he left Karl Malone off this list when he has John Stockton on it.

To me it really seems like he is an ok writer but did a half ass job on this list.
We are the idiots. Charlie Rosen has seen more NBA players play than any of us ever will. The man may make points you disagree with, but considering he gives solid evidence one should atleast give him the benefit of the doubt. Let's be honest, nobody here (Myself included) can honestly say they know all of the players on that list, let alone most of them. Let's stop calling Rosen stupid when he knows more than each of us, shall we?

Rosen is a dumb ass, how does he have Bruce Bowen on the list and not have Ron Artest. And he puts John Stockton on the list because "Stockton's elbow-flashing back-screens were a constant menace." This guy is a terrible analyst maybe he should start analyzing MLS Soccer so then nobody will even care about what he writes.

Maybe he can talk about the old times, but he knows nothing about today's game.
I think unless any of us actually play against Karl Malone or Ron Artest or others who knows how dirty they are? I mean really. Rossen may not have actually played against them either but the man has seen more games and players than most of us have had hot dinners. He deserves a little more respect than he is being given in this thread. Also I have always heard interviews of players saying that John Stockton is dirty and Karl Malone is Tough. Same with Artest(tough) and Bowen(dirty).
Charley Rosen is a bum who gets fired every year for whatever company he writes for...he was a damn good player for Hunter College...but it's Hunter College...he then coached for almost 10 years in the CBA and now is a controversial article writer/author...take from that what you want. What he says about old players, yeah...I believe it...but with todays players he's a little off.
I always knew Dave Cowens was a dirty player. He was malicious! Cot damn! Also, I believe Rossen is a good analyst. Might not be the best, but he is good. We all disagree with many analysts, but can we complain and say that Rossen is the worse one? Nope, not really. I actually liked this list. I agree that Karl Malone should have been up there, but John Stockton was even more violent than Malone was. Just watch old tapes. You'll see what Rossen meant and why I agree.
John Stockton didn't end a players career with a head injury...step on legs...or kick players in the crotch...I watched Stockton a lot when I was a kid, never noticed him being malicious or anything, but he was just a little hairy white guy so I guess it didn't stand out.
Well, I never saw Karl Malone beat the sh*t out of anyone neither, so whatever. It doesn't really matter, I suppose.
