After that Nunez bullshit if I'm Girardi I immediately pull him from the game. I guarantee you he'll never do that shit again. I mean what's he taking lessons from Cano. And what the hell is Overbay swing on 3-0 after Kennedy just threw 7 straight balls? This is ridiculous.

Looks like old Homer Hughes is pitching another gem. Did not see the Nunez gaff MLB just shoed Kotsay scoring to make it one to nothing.

Yankees had a man on first with 1 out, Nunez hits a ground ball down the line towards 1st. The 1st basemen throws to 2nd & then back to first for the double play. And Nunez, he watched the play unfold 3 steps from home plate. He never even ran.

Ah well yes, though I commend Girardi for doing what he's done with a bad brand of beef, this is when you wonder about the stones, seems to me he's a bit overboard defending some of the dumber choices of his high paid charges.

And then both he and cano failed to make plays on the hop throw from Romine but they didn't field the ball.

I agree, it's like everyone is just playing out the string. I would of met Nunez at the top step and asked for an explanation. Then after watching the play the next inning by Cano and Nunez on stolen bases and then on the wheel play. Nunez should of been there on 3rd in time for Nix's throw. The runner would have been definitely out.

People might be starting to understand why many of us were begging the Yankees to sell? Perhaps?
Hey at least we get to watch soriano for another year and a half!!! Exactly how has this team improved its chances for this year or more importantly next? Talk about a lost year on many levels.

Hughes has no balls, get him out. So much for the theory he would be better in a larger pitcher friendly ballpark like SD. And he didn't give up one dinger, and Cano failure to turn the double play... Gut this team!

And now ANOTHER piss-poor outing by Hughes. This team is going no where with only two pitchers (Kuroda & Nova).

And as a foot note: Fire Girardi's ass & bring in a manager that has some balls. This dickhead just pisses me off.

The frustration of a year long struggle has gotten to all fans, what I can't understand when you see the team in the field look totally uninspired is how you can let that happened. Specially because of the way Girardi played. Right now, name one thing that is going right for the organization?

Daryl Hamilton on MLB was commenting that the Yankees were "starting" to get a little better even as Hughes was coughing up runs. Arizona got rid of Kennedy by shipping him to San Diego and the Yankees are making him look like Cy Young today.
Saw where the White Sox have scored 2 or less in their last ten games, and the Yankees go there next. Remember last year, they swept a better Yankee Team than this.

Happy for Romine, it looks like he is gaining confidence at the plate. Now I'm sure Girardi will have Stewart back in the lineup tomorrow.

Romine has gotten nice comments for his work behind the dish, now that he's starting to hit put him out there and give Stewart more "rest".
