Stayed until his appeal is heard so he's expected to play tonight.

How distracting to what really matters to and for the Yankees as a team.

Almost any other distraction from this steaming heap would be welcomed.

So he gets to play a few games in Chicago this week during the appeal - but then goes away for the rest of this year, and all of next year? Yea, that makes sense.

Only the 2013 Yankees with all of the BS this year that has happened to them would have to endure this nonsense for the next 3 days.

Bud Selig's father must have been a very successful man, because his son is a blithering imbecile.

I read somewhere that it could take up to 3 weeks for the appeal to be heard.

If the Yankees were playing well I'd be pissed he was returning only to be a distraction, but being the team looks crap and can't even beat the lowly Padres I say whatever, don't care either way, let him distract all he wants.

It will be heard in about 20 days then the decision they said could take another 20 days. I'm sure they can rush the process for the sake of all parties. With that said, I hope the Yank fans give it to him every time the opportunity exist. Then maybe we could trade him to the Nippon Ham Fighters for some fortune cookies that we can then give the fortune hints to Cashman because he needs all the help he can get.

Now union officials say a ruling won't happen until around November which means he will play the rest of this season. I wonder what this means for next season. I was hoping they could use his salary towards other players next year if suspension holds up.

I think the union is talking out of their rears.

I think this thing has a chance to get reduced. Don't see any way he gets out of the 50 for the PED use and it all depends on what they have against him on the buying evidence angle. I'm hoping not to see him at all ever again after we have to endure him playing what will potentially be the rest of the season but it's going to be a battle. Would be disgusting if it did get knocked down to the 50.

Disappointed with the unions response on this too. They are out of step as it seems the players and of course the fans want these players dealt with and harshly.

Hey Cy, you need to make an appearance more often. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think there's more then one charge against him. First its his affiliation with the Biogenics place & then I heard they're also charging him for obstruction. So if this is all real then there's just no way on Gods green earth the'll reduce it to 50 games.

My bigger concern here like someone else mentioned. I want to see his salary come off the books for next season so we could use it to pick up a McCann & or Morales.

Maybe I missed it, but why does the suspension start Thursday and not immediately?
