After Romine had a great game yesterday I thought Girardi might give him a couple of days in a row of playing time. Why is he so enamored with Stewart?

Agreed, the slam on Romine was his hitting, last couple of weeks or so he's been getting Extra Base hits, something this club has been lacking. Moves like that are when Girardi blows ones mind.

I hate this love affair with Stewart. Romine gets 2 hits and they steal two bases off Hughes with tremendous jumps and Romine is starting to get his confidence, and a former catcher, who should know better stops him in his steps. Furthermore, the poor guy Romine would actually get to face a lefty... What a circus. Maybe Joe's binders says Stewart hits like 900 against this guy!

This Girardi being an asshole AGAIN. The kid is like 10-21 over his last few games & had a big night last night. And clueless Joe rewards him with a seat on the bench. I'm not a drinking man but I'll "cheers" to anyone the day the Stienbrenner boys show enough balls to can his lame ass.

We still don't know whats Romine upside is, or if he has one, imagine finding out and getting two hits a game to boot. On a team that need offense lets go with the guy hitting 220 for his career with 42 rbi in 223 games played.

Cashman is already preparing a new 3yr deal for Stewart this off-season, claiming he was a "rock" for this team during a rocky season. When Stewart finishes the year hitting .205, Cashman will rationalize that it's still one of the highest averages on the team.

Rick you are right, I should be banned for 210 games, because watching this team is going to move me to drugs.

Rick, don't you know, sure they are illegal, but I will just appeal the arrest and regardless of the volume of evidence they have against me, I'll win, what's wrong with you Rick.!

I think it's simply that they are desperate to get better starting, and I guess Stewart helps that cause over Romine, because really that's been the biggest issue, if everyone in the rotation gives them a QS they will win enough to stay in the race, but this is becoming a disaster, and playing Stewart in the NL over Romine who has been the better bat really speaks volumes about how desperate they are to get better starts.
