When I lived in Japan, the only other foreigners in my little neighborhood were a pair of Mormon elders on mission. Once we got past the whole "not interested in being saved right now" thing, they were great hoop buddies. Not nearly as good as these two, though.
I thought about that, but I assume they aren't playing for money. If it's just to mislead about their skills, it's not the worst they could do.
Long time ago up at Laurelhurst Park some Mormons came up and tried to save all the gang members at the court........ Ya, they got dunked on! Sent from HCPs Baller-Ass iPhone 5...FAMS!
that's not a 10 foot hoop, nor is it real. There's a part where the second 'mormon' jumps up and his head is about 6 inches below the rim.
What if all these years the NBA was playing on 8 foot hoops and we all thought these guys were just more athletic than us?
...the camera angle is also from the ground so I am sure that plays some sort of "optical illusion" on the perspective
They must have been pretty happy to have you there, i've heard Japanese people mainly just use missionaries for English practice, and are about as lukewarm to the whole "being saved thing" as we are.
They actually were quite grateful! Neither one spoke much Japanese, which probably didn't help their efforts (or sanity) much.
I remember one of the picnics at blue lake back in the day, me and a bunch of filipino fobs rolled up an entire team of "brothas". so funny. everyone talking tagalog and shit....really short nate robinson type of players too.
I heard in retaliation, a bunch of black dudes are going to really kick ass on the SATs. WESTSIDDDDDEEEEEE :MARIS61:
