This was in the Miami Herald Today

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Miami last week said it was conducting a criminal inquiry into the clinic’s activities involving the illegal sale and distribution of drugs, including to high school athletes. It is possible that Rodriguez and other players could be subpoenaed to testify before a grand jury, should the case rise to that level.

I feel the federal investigation will give MLB and Yankee Fans the evidence needed to put an end to the Arod dilemma. It won't be immediate but by the time he is done serving whatever suspension he receives, it may create the opportunity to void the contract finally. Arod in front of a Grand Jury, can you say 5th Amendment.

I heard on MLB this morning that some wag tweeted that Arod was playing 3rd, batting 4th, and pleading the 5th!

    ...we agree again.

...funny thing is, ARod's contention is not so much whether or not he used PEDs over the course of several years, along with the other offenses, but instead, that he feels his suspension should be shorter that Braun's on the premise that Braun already failed a drug test. But technically, Braun didn't fail the test because it was over-turned. Sorry, but I don't get ARod's and his defense team's rationale here.
...of course it is in the attorneys' best interest to drag this out as long as possible...that's how they make a living.

...before this is over and Baseball, the Union, the Feds, and the lawyers are through, I truly hope that he is bled dry, and completely broke.

Unless he has Allen Iverson as a business Manager i doubt that he will ever be broke, but broken would do for crimes against baseball and the fans. The same institutions that gave a poor kid from Miami everything he has.

He sees a chance the suspension gets reduced. Even 50 less games means a lot of money to him.

That's the money play, its not if he did it, it's about getting the best deal for being guilty, every 50 games = 7.5 million, 13 more HR's is 6 million.

How will a federal investigation end the dilemma? How can it be voided? the 5th will definitely be envoked
