Since people were talking about Walton, and who gets to have their #'s retired, I wanted to post this video (I've only seen parts of the game it's from)

    enjoy

There are some that think had Jabbar not gone down that year, the Blazers would have never hoisted up that banner.

    Thoughts?

Not sure what you are talking about. I know that Jabbar played the entire season averaging 26/13 in all 82 games. I have heard Kermit Washington boast many times that had he not gotten injured and missed the playoffs the Lakers would have won. The Blazers lost three close games early in the season and then blew the Lakers out in the last game of the season while also being on their longest winning streak of the season. The Blazers were clearly hitting their stride.

I loved watching Walton play. I would give anything to have that kind of a team again, but it ain't gonna happen. The 3-point shot ruined the fast break game, and that's the game that Walton really knew how to play.
