I said this before, I will say it again. Marquis Daniels, He has a great chance to show his talent in Indiana. He has alot of potential but he didn't seem to fit in with the Dallas Mavericks last year. Playing for a coach like Rick Carlisle will only help his cause.Another guy to look out for is Sebastian Telfair, Danny Ainge is going to let him run. He plays at his best when running the fast break, In Portland he had to run a half court offense to benefit Zach Randolphs style. Given the chance to run in Boston he should make huge strides towards becoming a solid lottery pick.
This is a biased pick, but Vladimir Radmanovic. With Kobe Bryant on the floor, he's gonna be getting hundreds of wide open looks. Spot up shooting has kept him in the league, and he's never played with a player like Kobe to get him those shots.
Marquis Daniels will be a backup in a crowded backcourt, I don't expect more than he did in Dallas. I think Jarrett Jack will get his name heard a lot next season, he's the teams only starting caliber PG and will get 30+ minutes, one of the underrated players coming into this season. Obviously Mo Williams, Andrew Bogut and Charlie Villanueva are going to turn some heads.
How about Speedy Claxton. He will be the starting point in Atlanta, after being probably the best backup pg last year to Chris Paul. He could have a great year after finally getting the starting role.

Because he is playing with guys like Kobe and Smush who think shooting before passing.

Atleasy 19/8.

Once Vlad comes in, he will have alot of open looks off of Kobes double teams and he will have no option but to pass it to Vlad. Also, I think that Kobe is going to try and change the way he plays. Maybe he found out that his team was a little bit more successful when he wasnt as selfish. We will just have to see how it goes.....But yes, Vlad will get his touches and yes, vlad will put up around 12 or 13 ppg this season.
Well the Lakers had Odom. Why didnt Kobe give it to him. Odom can also shoot. Radmanovic will not change how Kobe will play.

That is something that all ball handlers/play makers need. It makes it easier on them because they can just kick it out to them off of the drive and get 3 points. Once Vlad shows that he can shoot with a pretty good percentage(which he will because he will be open quite often), Kobe will pass him the ball more and more.
He didnt get his 15ppg from Kobe. Kobe didnt give him the ball I find. He did get the ball sometimes but he could have been more effective if Kobe shared the rock. Imagine if he gave Odom the ball more often.Odom would have like 20ppg easily.
Kobe got around 5 apg and im sure that a couple of those went to Odom. Also, when players on the lakers score, it is ussually off of them creating for themselves. Not just Kobe, but Odom as well. That is why his apg total isnt as high. Its not that he didnt give him the ball....that is just stupid. Its not like Kobe went down the court and just chucked it up as soon as he got it. His FG% would have been much worse than 45.
woverine, what you're saying about Kobe is completely premature and false. I suggest you stop talking out of your ass about now.
I definitely agree with Balla's Marquis Daniels pick. He is going to get "let loose" in Indiana, and they are going to really need him when Tinsley is out.About Telfair - he has a huge chance to flourish here, and I obviously hope he does. He has a lot of potential in that body, he works hard, and he sees the floor very well. Also, like Balla said, he thrives off the running game, and we well let him run. The only thing holding him back is our PG depth. Delonte might start, at least at first, and Rondo is impressive everyone. We'll see.But someone else I will add to the list is my boy Jarrett Jack. He is getting the starting job over in Portland and he will succeed. He is a very good player and he can penetrate, run an offense, play defense, and he is a leader. He comes off as a pretty quiet guy, but he has the tools to lead an offense. He will have a good year.
I could see Monta Ellis or Mike Dunleavy wrap this award with a year under Don Nelson. Nelson knows how to bring the best out of his players and will insert both Ellis and Dunleavy in times to make matchups hell for other teams. Dunleavy will have a break or make season this year, if Nelson gets what he needs out of him, we will have a 6'9 point forward who can distribute, make shots for himself and other players and create huge mismatches for other points. Ellis showed a ton of potential last year, but Monty was reluctant to give him big minutes. Ellis has the rare ability to be a very good defender, go to the rack strong, and play two positions at lightning fast speed and the ability to create his own shots. Nelson will get the best out of him in games and use him to creat mismatches for other teams.
no way. Dunleavy would have to have a MONSTER season, and I can't see ellis make a big improvement at all.

He was pretty decent last yera but playing fulltime can make him a very solid PG even tho hes pretty old.
The only way I can see Monta Ellis making a big impact is if Baron Davis is out for a few long stretches. Considering Baron misses at least 20 games a season it can happen now that Derek Fisher is gone. Mike Dunleavy? Ever year it's mentioned and ever year he's too soft...I've given up on him.

He will have to play amazingly I agree, but look what Nelson did for players like Chris Mullin. Oh, and as for Ellis not getting playing time, Nelson will play small, and Ellis would be his perfect player to create mismatches on the court for him. Ellis will see big playing time most of the year as a sixth man or starter next to Baron.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (nba dogmatist @ Sep 16 2006, 11:23 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>no way. He is one of the few young players I have ever seen that loves playing defense and is as versatile as he is during the course of the game. With Baron, he could run the point, he could run and take passes from Davis all day, or he could just take over if Baron goes down.
