Arsenal's third option striker signing this summer is Liverpool's ill-tempered scorer Luis Suarez. Arsenal have been rebuffed in efforts to sign Stefan Jovetic and Gonzalo Higuain, settling on Suarez late in the summer transfer window. Suarez has been quiet about the reported 40-million pound sterling offer Arsenal made to Liverpool last month but now has decided he wants to make the move to London, presumably, unless another club has bid for him we aren't aware of. Suarez claims that he wanted to leave last summer but was convinced to stay by Brendan Rogers, who promised him that if he gave a full effort and the team still failed to qualify for Champion's League football that he'd be given the green light to sign with another team. Suarez is holding the club to that but as one would expect Rogers has publicly stated that the team will not sell Suarez and especially not to a rival.
We will not sell! insists Liverpool owner. Great news. Even with seemingly unlimited funds we've found a way to sign teenagers, drop upwards of 20 players, and not bolster our roster with even one veteran signing this summer. Another fourth-or-bust season approacheth!
