If it's hard not to get those games out of your head, than you should distinctly remember LA played in only 5 of them, and Batum only 4. We tanked those games man...
Just because "we" tanked, doesn't mean "we" are all of a sudden capable of stepping up in March and April and playing the way playoff contenders need to. Every spring, teams that are in position to make the playoffs, and have playoff-level talent - but not the experience - miss the playoffs. I don't believe that'll be the case with the Blazers, and certainly hope it won't be, but I'm not going to say "we" are a lock, or something along those lines, until the Blazers show something a little more than what we saw the last time these guys suited up (i.e. the second half of last season).
Keep in mind two things 1. Portland has a grand total of 2 proven NBA players off the bench 2. Portland has a total of 2 proven NBA players at the 4 and 5
For the sake of this discussion, I didn't hear anybody say "win" in the playoffs. So, IMO, identifying whether or not any of these Blazers have actually been to the post-season appears to be irrelevant, does it not? It all boils down to winning regular season games. That's what'll get us there.
Guess I'll put this here. http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2013/08/12/statbox-free-agency-breakdown-improved-depth-makes-playoffs-possible-for-portland
