But seriously: when I look at Shawn Kemp highlights, there are tow things I notice: hanging on the rim after a ferocious dunk, and some taunting going on. I liked that. I really did. You're only allowed to hang on the rim to not lose your balance nowadays.Even if you hang on the rim for a split-second you get a T.Taunting? Even Deke's fingerwag isn't allowed. That's bullsh**. Basketball is about winning, a team sport, where individuals should be allowed to shine. If a player stares another player down, he gets a T. Pssh....

But I'm happy taunting is toned down, disrespect should not be tolerated in a professional league. Like when Amare did pushups before he shot his free throws. Give me a break, then ended up missing them. If you like that can't kind of action, fine by me but it only shows lack of maturity and respect.

Defensive 3 seconds, it limits any interior defense. It would be a lot harder for players like Wade and Bron to score if there wasn't defensive 3 seconds.
Yeah I would take out the defensive 3 seconds as well. A full blown zone will force teams to play unselfishly and make it more of a team game rather than individuals shining all the time. That's what I like about the Pistons is they don't have one great player but a bunch of good players.

I kind of agree with everyone else, the worse rule in the NBA is all that hand checking bull, I mean you can barely touch a player now without it being called a foul. I was watching a game from the 80 and early 90's and they had hand checking, hard fouls(today standards) that weren't even called back then. It was better basketball when the game was more physical.
I believe hand checking is bullsh** as well as "no taunts".I hate it when a player taunts another player after dunking on them, but sometimes, it is seriously required. Like when Shawn Kemp dunked on some duke and knocked him the hell down, Shawn pointed at the guy and laughed. That's disrespectful and ought to be considered a technical, but back then, taunts were just "jokes". These days, Ricky Davis can't do his "shh..." taunt, where he simply puts his finger to his lips and says, "shh..." He used to do that every time he did an insane dunk. I believe that isn't a disrespectful taunt. He's just letting people know that that was an insane dunk, but they shouldn't get so rowdy over it, you know what I mean? If Ricky does that "shh..." taunt, he'll get a horrible technical.
Bump:Ill, now that's a good example. Hits the nail right on the head, really. In the media forum I looked back on some of those crazy Kenyon dunks, and he always was so hyped up after that (slapping the backboard, screaming, pulling his shirt). I'm not sure if he still can get away with that now.
