I'm looking to get a 24" tv/monitor and want to make sure I get the best one at the best price. Can S2 help me out? It'll be be used primary as a second monitor to my laptop, but occasionally as a tv via antenna. Thanks.

newegg.com hands-down if you don't mind waiting 3 days or so to get it.

If you need to buy it local then someone else will need to chime in. Online you almost always are going to get a better price though.

Newegg as mentioned..also after you have done your research..check out close outs on Amazon..store models at wallmart etc..as an aside, my first thought was that purchasing a 24 in should not be that big of a deal..you can get those as promotional guifts for test drives and condo sales events..

Get an open box item at best buy. then talk them down another 10% from that price. Before my vacation, I bought a lenovo laptop open box for $250 off the sticker price + an additional 15% after talking to the manager.

...I really like ASUS! In terms of the best place, it just depends on the model that you end up going after. I will typically do research into the reviews on many of the electronics website to gauge the best model to purchase...then it's just a matter of typing in that model number into google shopping for the best price.

How much are you looking to spend?

Here are a few very solid models for you to start your quest with (depending on your budget):

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up going with something that has a coaxial in so I could use it as a tv and monitor. I went with this LG. Strangely you can't find it if your go through Best Buy's site, but I found it when doing a Google search.
