I wonder how many Miami or NY guys didn't even look at what happened in the West.

Guess we can fly under the radar to start the year. I think we could finish as high as #3 although I would expect something more in the realm of a 6th seed.

I like how they think a team with a losing record will be in the playoffs... This ain't the east.

I'd love to see the ass clown who thinks the Pups have a better roster than us.

They have the #7 team ending up at 43-39.........And the #6 team with 50 wins.

That is a big drop from 6-7. And pretty accurate. It seems they are not too confident with Denver or Minnesota. (Or anyone else)

We have a legitimate shot at 7.

Well, you need to take these things with a grain of salt. Last year, they predicted the Lakers would win 59 games and tie the Thunder for best record in the West, but the best part is the comments:

"LAL starters will bring out best in each other. Expect All-Star play and finals w/Miami in 2013"

    Right...

The way I see it, LAC, Houston, GS, OKC, SA & Mem are the locks.

Which leaves Portland, NO, Minn & Denver fighting for the last two. You could even throw Dallas and LAL in there if you're feeling charitable. Basically everyone but Sac, Utah and Pho. So this isn't really surprising.

But especially with adding Mo I think we have a pretty good chance at 7. Of course health will play a factor for all these teams as it always does.

Honestly I don't find it outlandish to think we could be a 5 seed.

It will be interesting to watch Denver and Memphis to see how a coaching change can effect two
playoff teams. There is always other factors to consider, but none-the-less it will be interesting.

Both teams will probably fall off a bit. I think Golden State takes a step back as well.

Elite: Thunder, Clippers, Spurs (unless this is finally the year that they slip. Although we've been saying that for a decade)
Step down: Grizzlies, Warriors, Rockets, Lakers (yes, Lakers)

Definitely missing the playoffs (largely by design): Utah, Phoenix
Very likely missing the playoffs: Sacramento, New Orleans

So: the final spot is between Dallas, us, the Nuggets and the Wolves. I think Dallas might have the edge because of the quality and proven adaptability of their coach.

Why do I think the Lakers will make it? Because they'll be better without trying to please Dwight Howard, and because Pau Gasol is still fucking good.

Most likely dark horse team: the Pelicans, if Davis and Eric Gordon can be healthy.

Lakers will surprise people. And I don't think Grizzlies are a lock. They lost some depth and were a fluke last year anyways.

Finishing 9th or 10th would be an epic fail

Dallas won't be able to defend a pick up squad at a local YMCA so I think they're out.

The Lakers are even older now and injuries will dictate their season imo.

I see it shaking out like this:

    1. Thunder (58-24)
    2. Clippers (56-26)
    3. Rockets (55-27)
    4. Spurs (55-27)
    5. Grizzlies (51-31)
    6. Warriors (50-32)
    7. Blazers (48-34)
    8. Nuggets (47-35)

The Clippers are my dream first round matchup (If we end up under a 4 seed).
