what does that have to do with anything? lol

I guess we are back to my point, outragous behavior is excused because they are gay, in your mind..and more to the point, if this had been a straight couple in a well light pool bar, yeah, they would have been talked to as well, if not 86ed as I have been in my youth

yeah..I think that being a blatant pain in the ass can take on many forms. I dont feel that there should be a distinction between pain in the ass straight people and pain in the ass gay people

But the "outrageous" behavior you point to is accepted as normal when straight couples do it. I see it ALL THE TIME and I really don't go out all that much. Yes, sometimes it gets uncomfortable and if it was my friend I'd tell them to get a room, but no one harasses them about it.

    "Your mama's ugly"

that's an assault and asking for it

But there was no offense, no assault. Nobody was asking for anything other than to be left alone or treated like any other human being.

    this

If you don't want to see it, leave, look somewhere else, or ignore it.

I am also not crazy about seeing couples make out in public. But it's hardly a rare sight in bars. It was said this couple was "asking" to be attacked because they were a gay couple doing what straight couples do regularly. They were not asking for it.

BTW, even if someone does something stupid he/she is not "asking" to be attacked. And doing something stupid is not the same as a deliberate insult. But in this case the behavior was only "outrageous" because they were gay.

You know, going around spewing verses from the bible is asking for it. Really pisses some people off.

    Think about it.

As I have stated many times..I dont care, but it does not escape reason that to be putting ones self in a situation, ie red neck bar, full of loggers, cowboys mill workers...I doubt many of these guys have rainbow stickers on their truck bumpers, right or wrong, is probably not the best environmant to act in fashion that could be taken as an antagonism.

The same actions in some of the latino bars would garner the same results or worse, and lets not evenmention how some of the brothers would deal with what they would precieve as flaunting

not saying its right..just pointing out what is real

and come on guys...a bar is generaly not where you are going to find rational minds stupid and insulting is all the same..just saying..

hey..you dont like it, I can go elsewhere. I enjoy looking at different sides of a situation..if you dont want to play, or rather that I not play devils advocate..again let me know...

in fact the more I think about it, the less I like about this. there can be shitlods of religion/christian hate threads, but one fucking positive thread, and people have problem with that...prefect..typical double standard bull shit

I actually don't care what you do or don't do. I'm just pointing out "asking for it" where you live. For doing things you wouldn't give a second thought to as being "asking for it."

Also the "red neck bar, full of loggers, cowboys mill workers..."shouldn't be discounted as some mindless thug group. I've been in dives out in every corner of our state, played pool on tilted tables with the likes of all these rednecks, and have one hell of a time. And most all of them are thinking people like you and I. They just like overalls, bud light and bull riding more than your average city slicker does. Give them the credit to be able to handle a gay couple. And they obviously did, only making one comment that could be heard directed at straight or gay couples who were getting a little more intimate than the lighting called for.

You know, going into a Mosque during prayers and quoting verses from the bible is asking for it.

    Think about it.

The point of the analogy: put yourself in the other person's shoes.

I guess it was lost on you?

Are you saying that would be asking for it, then?

No more than the gay couple walking out of the movies holding hands, holding hands or kissing in public, etc. even in a red nick bar.

If it offends you, go somewhere else. If you decide to go beat the shit out of them, I hope you rot in jail.
