If we don't land Mondeaux I'm unsure Oregon will get a scholarship oregon football player. Humphries to commit soon to somewhere.
So much for holding in-state this year :T. We were quite picky and lazy to offer these guys right under our noses. I think Humphries maybe going to Wisconsin.
Ducks are recruiting a 5'10 185 JC RB named Tyreek Hill. Besides football, he's a top track and field sprinter who has posted faster 100 & 200 times then any recent Duck including Tyner and DAT STOMP
a new offer is out to NC WR Braxton Berrios via his twitter. He didn't just take the offer in stride, he was stoked. Besides being rated a 4*, he sports a 4.0+ GPA STOMP
The Tennessee game on Sept 14th is shaping up to be a pretty big weekend for OVs. Expected to be in attendance are Vincent Jackson, Jalen Brown, Layth Friekh, and possibly Michiah Quick. STOMP
a couple more tidbits on BB. Coach Lubick had been recruiting him while he was at Duke last year. This summer at The Opening Braxton was teammates with Duck QB commit Morgan Mahalak STOMP
rivals is doing their post summer camps ranking revisings this week with the top 100 out today. Duck commit Royce Freeman was bumped up nearly 100 spots to #93 STOMP
I'm not sure that 2014's class is as strong as last years class. I sure do like Rolls Royce and Springs, and I feel Morgan may be special on and off the field towards building this program. Truthfully I sense this is a coach um up class for Oregon but hey, that's what we do in Eugene!
Rolls Royce. Good nickname. In other recruiting related news: Elijah Hood decommits from Notre Dame. Sources say he will commit to NCAR.
the duck or the egg? Because of the physical development (or lack there of) the hierarchy of HS talent is a fluid situation, so being able to project talent is huge. Young men continue to fill out well past signing day & personal makeup matters. You don't necessarily want the best 16/17 year olds, you want the best 19-21 year olds. Of course having the best facilities/science behind this process helps, but the coaches have a solid record of picking diamonds in the rough who start contributing early. They still get credit for Hroniss & Terrance Mitchell, but mostly for spotting them. Welcome to the board. GoooooOO Ducks! STOMP
The Cal game on Sept 28th has a couple of OVs set. Florida RB Tony James and Cal D Lineman Jaylen Johnson. I don't think we've brought up Johnson before, but he's another tall/long guy who projects as either a DE or DT in their schemes. He's also another high GPA kid STOMP
Joe Mixon still has us in his top five. What an amazing RB class with him and Rolls if we were so blessed!
I freaked when we got Rolls Royce!! I thought this kid was a lock to FUCLA. He came with his family, met with Gary and it changed everything for him. To be honest I am totally stoked just to have this kid cause I think he's the real deal. That and Rolls is a humble good kid, no twitter account, not huge ego and he works. Mixon I get the feeling is already buying into his hype. If Mixon comes to the campus he may the same reaction Royce did, our facilities are hard to beat! However do any of you see this causing Royce to second guess his commitment because he'd have to share some serious touches. We already have Marshall, Tyner in front of them? Obviously great problem to have but I'd back Royce because I think he'll compliment Tyner far better.
