This nonsense with the Red Sox goes back to Y2K where they have plunked Yankees at will with no response. Enough is enough already. Guys like Ortiz and Pedroia need one put in their ribs and then be told to go talk to their own pitchers.

I think you'll see in the next series these 2 teams play. Joba's last pitch as a Yankees might be a direct hit on Ortiz.

... they didn't really have many good opportunities in the right situations last night to retaliate. They really need that game last night and they'll put it in their memory banks and will extract their pound of flesh when the time is right.

Last night wasn't the time. The next game these teams meet the Yankees starter needs to put one right at Ortiz's front hip. When your own guys start to get hit you tend to rethink your attitude about hitting other players. I would like to see updated numbers in regards to the number of hit batters between the Yankees and Red Sox for the last ten or so years.

I wouldn't be surprised if that ratio of batters hit is 10-1. And all along guys like Papi get to hang all over the plate. I've seen him move his feet in the batters box once, thanks to Mo a few years back. At some point you have to take action.

ya i agree. every game is important now and we cant take chances because of some classless move by a dufus like dempster. cc has been terrible but who knows what would have happened if he hit someone early. maybe the tides turn or something. im just glad the yankees get outta there with a nice series win.

Winning the game is # 1 priority but in the late innings if the Yankees have a sizeable lead let someone like Kelley or Drob smoke one as long as it's not a head shot.
