...Romine has looked great tonight. It looks like he's gained some confidence and a little cockyness...I like it.

The knock on Romine was the hitting, but now he has improved in that area. I've been clamoring for more playing time for this man.

Yeah but Stewart is still Joe's bitch & will be right back behind the plate tomorrow. But what the hell I'm sure Romine will get another chance in a few days.

Rick, I feel like I have been one of the most outspoken posters when it comes to Stewart. Today, when he homers for the first time since May 15, he makes me look bad. In addition, as much as I hate to say it, 59 is right when he says that Stewart gives them the best chance to win, but I feel since the all-star break Romine has turned it around, he's gaining confidence and I know he has a greater upside. Either way, for tonight, the catching position for the Yankees excelled in the doubleheader. Let's keep it going....

They are slowly bringing the kid along. Just like what they did with Posada

...I'm with you, major...as long as they keep winning, I don't care who catches. Again, I really liked the bit of "cockyness" I saw from Romine yesterday...And with Sanchez also continuing to impress, the Yankees' future at the catcher position looks much brighter.

Sanchez, Romine and then the possibility of Murphy who could be on a roster in the future, and be an emergency 3rd catcher in the future would be a luxury.
