If true is it that they are not happy with Overbay and they would release him and go with Reynolds and Morneau? Confused myself.

...yeah, that's the only thing that makes sense if they are serious about Morneau.

Headley has been put on waivers by SD, that is where we should be shopping for the short term and long term solution. Switch hitter with power....

Saw on MLB tonight that Morneau is having concussion problems and was placed on the DL.

I thought it was Mauer? I'm probably wrong, but when I looked at transaction wire, it said Mauer for 7 days with concussion symptoms.

...it was Mauer, not Morneau who went on the DL.

My bad, was checking box scores, saw Morneau in the line up, then check the Twins transaction list and saw Mauer. Jumping JC^&^*^*^%%$%.

...I dunno about Headley...he's really only had one very good year which was last year. This year, not so good (.237 .328 .367 .695 )...and striking out every 3.4 ABs.

There's something strange about Headley's short career. In two FULL seasons 2009 & 2010 he averaged 11 HRs 61 RBI & a 263 BA. In 2011 he was injured. BUT......in 2012 he had this out of the blue season of 31 HRs, 115 RBI & battered 286. which resulted in a 5M dollar raise. 3.4M to 8.5M And this year he's dropped even below his 2009 / 2010 averages.

With that said A-Rod is likely out for the entire year of 2014 so we're going to need to fill his spot. So maybe I'd take a flier on Headley but no where near the 8.5 he's making this year. JMO.

...I doubt Headley takes a short term deal or a pay cut.

His pathetic numbers hardly warrent 8+M dollars a year. And ANY team that pays him that needs to have there collective heads examined.

...yeah, he's not a bad player...but IMO, not worth that kind of money.
