How old and where were you when you had you first beer?

    Besides sips off the old man's can as a young'n'......... Probably OE when I was 12. At the beach. Pacific City to be precise.

    When I was a little girl my father gave me occasional sips. My mother made him stop, I think because I liked it.

    Of course, being Jewish, I always had wine, even if just a thimbleful.

    I don't recall drinking beer in high school, the hippies pretty much stuck to pot and wine. In college there was a hofbrau near UC Berkeley where we used to gather after evening political meetings over a pitcher. And since I had political meetings about 8 days a week, that was a lot of pitchers. Back then places were far more casual about checking ID, which was lucky for me since I was 16. I had a memorable beer in a gay bar (they did check so I had a borrowed ID), my first venture to a gay bar (and I was still 16) with my crush Andrea.

    I almost never drink beer now, guess I'm getting old (fuck I am old!) since it gives me gas.
