You were calling out a trade long before hickson said something. Why just use him? This all started with two beat reporters and one that even admitted he hated interviewing players.

In order to be considered a legitimate source you have to have had a 5 year relationship with LaMarcus and not be a member of the media. You also have to say what the Blazer Honks want to hear.

Lillard needs to take his game to elite level to be the team LMA wants. Batum is in there to fill a role; LMA and Lillard need to be the All-Stars. If Lillard stagnates, may as well trade him now.

When you choose to believe something negative written, or said, about the team, without questioning the source, you are being objective. When someone else chooses to accept something positive written, or said, about the team, they are a clueless homer. Sound about right?

You and Mediocre Man are such hypocrites. You both eagerly accept, as irrefutable fact, anything that coincides with your own negative word view of the team. Yet you automatically call into question the the motivation, agenda, credibility and validity of any source that writes or says anything remotely positive about the team. I kind of feel bad for you guys, but I admit I don't really understand this whole unfan mentality that seems to take great satisfaction in seeing your own team fail. Is it really just so you can occasionally say I told you so to a bunch of total strangers in some online forum, or is there more to it than that?

Since you didn't seem to follow this thread I will lay out what happened. In this thread I simply pointed out that it was humorous that it takes all these crazy, unheard of stipulations to be considered a legitimate source of LaMarcus Aldridge rumors (this was mostly directed at Mags). The whole Batum's word means more because of some magical 5 year relationship opposed to a year and half for Hickson is just hilarious.

And if you would have followed the thread you would see I didn't actually take any side, and that I only pointed out that there were people close to Aldridge (Hickson) that said he is gone. Is that some crime here on S2?

So instead of following the thread and comprehending it, you painted me as someone who only accepts negative thoughts towards the Blazers and ignores anything else, despite the fact that in this very thread that didn't even happen. Pretty weird. It seems like you're the one that's always negative, not me.

Hickson's info is dated, but likely an accurate portrayal of how LMA felt at the end of the season.
Nic's "info" is current, but can't be taken at face value since teammates NEVER say "Yeah, [teammate] really wants to be traded." Especially when said teammate hasn't said so himself.
So, we know that (a) it's quite likely that around the end of the season LMA wouldn't have been against being traded and (b) now that the team has made improvements there's a chance he might want to stick around. To pretend to know with certainty that he currently wants out or doesn't want out is just silly.

This is a good post. I would only reply that Batum didn't have to say anything either. There is no real motive for Batum to come out to say that; but I think there was a motive for Hickson. When hickson was saying it; there was still a chance that he could take over as starting PF.
