I think we all know the Nicholls St. game "SHOULD" be over by the second quarter so many duck fans aren't buying tickets for this game. That said we have recruits coming and a big turnout would be nice/beneficial. Just wondering what if the Ducks made this game free for every person in Eugene with a valid drivers license? First come first serve type of deal. It would be a thank you to the Eugene locals type of thing, plus with the tickets being so low anyway, Oregon would almost recoup if not surpass their losses at the concession and duck gear areas. Auzten would be sold out, and a bunch of people who might not get to go to a game could have a great time. Thoughts?
It is almost sold out. There is less then 2000 tickets left as of yesterday. It will be sold out for sure.
While there might be some local talents showing up, as of now there are no Official Visits scheduled for the Nicholls St game. If you're looking for a cheap ticket, scalp one at the little bridge just outside the stadium right before kickoff... I can't imagine you'll be set back more then 10$ STOMP
a day later two have been scheduled NC WR Braxton Berrios and verbal commit TX CB Arrion Springs STOMP
Free tickets are a great idea, but I'd prefer they were purchased at deeply discounted rates ($1 ea) and given to the Boys and Girls Clubs in the area. Not sure if this is accurate, but we're approaching 2000 available. I'm fairly confident the AD will do whatever it takes to insure the sellout streak isn't broken. A part of me, small part, hopes the sellout streak is broken. It would send a message regarding how fans feel about games like this (yes, I know the reason...).
Beavers threw two 4th quarter TD passes against Nicholls last year with Cody Vaz still in the game. FOURTH QUARTER NICH ORST TD 14:55 Obum Gwacham 7 Yd Pass From Cody Vaz (Trevor Romaine Kick) 3 56 TD 09:17 Jordan Jenkins 20 Yd Pass From Cody Vaz (Trevor Romaine Kick) 3 63 Completely classless. Had Oregon done that, the entire state would have had a meltdown over Chip "running up the score". Mike Riley is the Pac-12's Walter White.
