TMac's career playoff scoring avg was 28 a game. Before the injures when he played for the Magic though he was putting up 37 PPG playoff avg. Thats more than Jordan held his playoff avg I believe. and that was for consecutive playoff seasons.
Well there you go. The mighty Strenuus has decreed it, therefore it must be so. Your analysis and logic are unassailable.
It's a no for me. Compiling stats doesn't make you a HoF. PapaG would have an aneurysm looking at his PER/USG numbers. I vote no on the Hall of Fame for Tracy McGrady. Was never a huge fan tbh.
Why bring me into this? I've already seen his PER/USG numbers, and have argued against McGrady as being a MVP-level guy in his prime because of them, but with that, McGrady's resume is better than Reggie Miller's for example, in terms of core statistics. Will I be mad if McGrady doesn't make it? Hell no? But that's not what this thread is about.
i dont think he deserves imo, but hes right there with the grant hill, pau gasol types an interesting comp maybe is elton brand
Maybe not, talent wise when he was playing with the Magic though, you got to admit that he could hold his own and hang with the best of the best. MJ, Kobe, Dr.J and again I'm talking about talent.
Too bad there's more to it than core statistics. Mitch Richmond arguably has better "core statistics" than Reggie Miller. You don't see him in the Hall of Fame.
He does? I disagree, simply because Miller was better for longer. Again, though, I'm not advocating McGrady for the HOF. I think he'll get in, based on comparable players who are in.
I can't believe it's even a discussion. Lets stop dragging it out. He will not, and should not, ever ever ever ever ever ever ever be even close to the hof. He was not good enough. That's the end of it.
I think so. Probably 1st ballot. There was about a 4 year stretch where he was the best in the league.
Um. He was never the best in the league during his entire career. And people want to put him in the hof. LMAO.
