Anything is possible but I don't think Arod is going to hit 9 homers in the final 30 games of the season. He would need to go on a Soriano like tear with a couple of multiple home run games.
I hope he does get it, and while I don't really care what he does with it he sure could earn some credit in the court of public opinion if he takes your advice.
Ok, I am going to say something good about Arod. Is it just me, or does he seem to be driving the ball better now than in the last 2 years. We were always told that when Alex is driving the ball to Right Center that means he is on it. His last couple of HR's haven't been cheap ones. But now back to reality. He'll need to do it this year as likely suspended all next year and if healthy enough to play in 2015 yankees likely buy out the remaining years to be done with him and at that point don't see any team touching him ala barry bonds.
And Bonds even at 42 in his last year (2007) was still productive hitting 28 HRs & he led the league in BB, IBB & OBP.
