They are currently one of the leading wildcard teams the Yanks have to catch. ...and, they have 14 games left with Houston, Minny and Seattle. Throw in 6 more with the Angels. Of course the Yanks can still overtake them if they play approx .700 ball the rest of the way....it would be very nice if those bad teams rise up and play spoilers and help out the Yanks.
..rating your own threads?...that's like high fiving yourself after wacking off. _____________________________________ I don't mean to sound conceited....but ...umm.... I've really forgotten more about this baseball stuff than you already know. Thank you very much.
^^^yes, because anyone who lamely "likes" their own posts before someone even replies to it, must be a Baseball genius.
Their only chance is to beat up on Boston and the O's, like take every game, which is probably not happening. Despite the fact that NY looks like a contender now, it's just too late, not enough time and too many good teams above. I hope they don't quit though, you never know.
...being on your toes must be something new for you...considering you like spending most of your time on your knees.
They have just as much a chance at catching the Rays, maybe a little more so when you factor in a 3 game head-to-head series with them later in September. Has the making for an exciting September. Let's hope that comes to fruition.
Making derogatory family references in posts is about as lame, pathetic, classless, and degenerate as it gets. Get your shit together blg.
I posted in another thread what the stone cold reality is for the Yankees playoff chances right now. To get to 90 wins the Rays and A's pretty much can play .500 ball. To get to 90 wins the Yankees have to go 20-10. The Yankees are actually six and five games behind in the loss column to the Rays and the A's. That being said the Ray and A's play in Oakland this weekend. If the Yankees can win the next four we could have quite a different conversation come Monday.
We will all hope for the best but to this point I can see the Yankees being more in a spoilers role. There were just too many games lost against teams like the White Sox, Padres ect ect. But hey, even Verlander is getting whacked so who knows.
3 game series late against the Rays could come into play - may need a sweep but could at least make the season interesting, which is welcome when considering we were holding the white flag early this month. The words of a genius announcer come to mind when I think about the possibility of the Yanks pulling this off. "Baseball. You can never figure it out Susan."
hmmmmm.... funny, i don't see you callin out hammerojustice rick & 59 when they are lame, classless, and degenerate to the other innocent posters on here
Lets keep all arguments pleasant please. LOL I know that sounds funny but I don't mind disagreements. Lets just not make things personal.
"Innocent posters". Is that how you see yourself? Really? My belief is we are all fair game on this board when it comes to disagreements, points of view, differing opinions, etc. But messiah is right - making it personal beyond what people post on this board related to baseball, the Yankees, etc. is over the top. Are you really supporting making derogatory comments about someone's mother as a means to advance a discussion? If rick, hammer, or 59 did that - I would call them on it too.
