Anybody have a Traeger grill? I was at a pig roast at my uncle's last night and this guy that was there was raving on and on about his Traeger grill and how good everything tastes when he uses it. Says he even does his Papa Murphy's pizza on it and its the bomb. I looked onlne and the prices are pretty high. Anybody have one?

I think he means he will take one of your kids off your hands if you give him a Dre Beats.

Traegers are awesome. My dad has one and we use it all the time at his place. Great for everything (though I suspect Papa Murphy's pizzas would still suck).

They're a little too easy, though. When I'm smoking something, I like the whole aspect of changing the chips and the bowl of water (well I always use booze). I like to sit out all day and tend to it. Kinda like using a record player versus iPod or grinding coffee yourself in a grinder versus an all-in-one coffee pot.

I just bought mine this weekend. So far I've made pork chops and smoked chickens, both were the best I have ever had. I agree it is a little to easy, but fuck it I work hard in the rest of my life, its nice to be pro on easy mode for once.

I don't think I am overstating this, but Traeger's are LIT'RALLY the best grill in the history of the world.

Some people will find this so funny. I feel bad for those that wont

I completely agree. If I knew it was this good I would have bought one years ago. I ended up getting it because every single person I know who has one talks about their Traeger like they want to have sex with it. Now I get a boner thinking about the brisket Im going to cook this weekend.

FYI for anyone looking to buy one. I'm told the best place to pick one up is from the rep at Costco when they do a roadshow. I couldn't wait and paid a few extra bucks, but still got a decent deal. Check out the Sept/Oct costco roadshow list for more info. They are at Portland and Clackamas this month.
