    What are your thoughts?

Virginia has some big boys on their team and the Ducks will feel the difference in the trenches from Hamburger U we played last Sat. That said, I feel UVA will hang for about a quarter and then we'll run them out of their building.

Only thing that worries me is a tremendously humid game after a night of double plating on extremely greasy southern food. Never a good combo!

    56-7 Ducks my pick

This will be the first chance to guage where the Ducks are. It should be an interesting game.

Sounds strange but I more worry how the Ducks will handle the humidity, rather than how they'll handle the Cavs!

When do we get a chance to gauge where the Beavers are? Middle of the pack Big Sky team?

We know where the Beavers are...serious trouble for the season in conference play unless they shore up the defense.

For Virginia...they pressured the BYU QB to no end. DL and LB's penetrated and sometime left their lanes. VA has a challenge. Do that against Oregon and our speedy RBs or QB will burn you for a big run every time. Don't rush and pressure the QB, he will stand by and pick your secondary apart by dropping dimes to the speedy receivers.

In some ways, this Virginia team reminds me of last years University of Arizona team. Remember how that went down?

    Go Ducks!

Virginia's suppose to be one of the worst teams in the ACC. Am I missing something? I think it will be another blowout.

Picked to be last in the ACC FAMS! I don't know what the spread is, but I'm going to say 65-10. Ducks NEVER play on the east coast. Also it's a mid day game back there.....everybody is watching and they know it.

With all the weapon we have on both sides of the ball, my hope is this game is over by halftime, NO INJURIES, and we see Tyner make some amazing runs for his Duck debut!

A very strong showing would also be key in recruiting as Virginia is the new hotspot for high school ball.

Until someone develops a Star Trek-esk transporter, Virginia will never be key to Oregon's recruiting... it's over 2000 miles away. Oregon pulls a few kids from the entire East Coast each year, but they're the exception to the rule that kids generally don't go very far from Mama for college. Yes there is plenty of talent way over there and UVA is hosting dozens of top prospects for the game including Da'Shawn Hand & Quin Blanding, but very few are even considering going way out West.

Wish we could land some talent from Florida.

I just love that the mid-day game breaks and SportsCenter will have Duck highlights.

On the road. 3 time zones away. New head coach. New play caller. Going against a very good defensive line. A better than expected Virginia team.

I think the game is close until mid way through the third.

HCP Jr, just played Oregon @ Virginia on the PS3......he got bored and quit, Ducks were up 28-0 midway thru the 2nd. Sounds about right.

It's true that Virginia players may never see much of the west but, kids who can get into UVA are "TYPICALLY" wise enough to look around. The Stanford QB is from Virginia, Derrick Green at Michigan is from Virginia and Hand has UM as his front runner, our new kicker is from NC. Further Lubick has good ties into that ACC hotbed and he's a dream team sort of young gun recruiter I hear?

Perhaps at 50 point trouncing of the CAVS might make Blanding want to come Sua Cravens the Ducks? I know, wishful thinking.....

The radio guys in Portland are talking up Virginia as some huge athletic team that could compete in the SEC or with USC and Stanford. It's humorous. Their game on Saturday was played in a rainstorm, and BYU still put up over 360 yards on their defense, while Virginia had 220 yards of offense.

If Oregon isn't up by at least 21 by halftime, something is seriously wrong with the Ducks.

If the game is close mid way through the third then Oregon isn't very good, or they turned the ball over a ton to that point.

C'Mon son.......this team could be tied at the beginning of the 4th and still put up 35 pts in a quarter. On the road, muggy, noon game our time. Weird stuff could happen, but you can't judge how good this team IS or ISN'T just by a mid 3rd quarter score.
