And we also have the continued pleasure of having Stewart and Wells in the lineup. Suzuki is hitting 340 against lefthanders and Romine has been producing but we have to watch these 2 pieces of shit plus Nunez who has seemed to have lost any touch he ever had. My god this is frustrating.
Somebody needs to inform Girardi that it's September and they need to win every game they can. It's time to keep producing players in the lineup.
I was thinking the EXACT same thing. And yet some STILL defend Girardi. Its stupid head scratching decisions like this that I just can't understand.
Did Kuroda change his first name from Hiroki to Hughes. Jumping JC, can't trust the "big two in the rotation.
For those not paying attention - Kuroda has officially moved to 'pile of worthless trash' status alongside CC and Hughes. Hopefully, people will stop figuring out ways for the Yankees to re-sign this guy next year - he's serving nortice NOW that he plan to suck big time from here on out.
I remember Graig Nettles commenting on Sparky Lyle move from the Yankees to Texas after the '78 season that he'd gone from Cy Young to Sayonora. A few weeks ago Kuroda was mentioned as a CY Young candidate. Looks like he too has gone from Cy Young to Sayonora as well. I've heard he wants to pitch in Japan one more season.
OK, I would have pinch run for Arod here. In theory it would be at least 2 more inning before he would come to bat again.
If Mo can close things out this will be one to remember if the Yankees get themselves in the playoffs. That was a fun inning. Huge hit by Nunez.
Looks like the offense may have bailed out Kuroda, but that is what they are supposed to do. When Wells came up my first thought was damn get a pinch hitter then my computer quit and it took while to get back and glad to see Granderson came through. In reality the Yankees should be able to kick the crap out of teams like this instead of having to come back. Baltimore lost lets hope the Rays do as well. Hell even Scherzer is getting it tonight.
Go Angels is all I can say. I'm going to miss those Rivera moments so much. Another 40 save season and I love his ho hum reaction.
That was perhaps the biggest win we've had all season. I've been waiting for play like this all season long. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be a case of....."To little to late"
This gets very interesting if Tampa loses again tonight. The Red Sox series will be gigantic for the Yankees in terms of making of the playoffs.
