Midfielders Serge Gnabry (1995) and Gedion Zelalem (1997) join the first team as of this week. Both teenagers are German and should mesh well with the other German speaking players on the senior squad. Playing time should be sparse for both but the experience traveling and training with the starting eleven is invaluable. Zelalem, 16, is building a reputation as one of the most promising young players in football.
