The bad offensive line gave up 6 sacks...A lot of people had this team as a huge suprise after the late serge last year. I didn't see the hype really, what do you have to say Lightsout? Too early?
Yeah, and Culpepper just hasnt gotten it together. He has been off since the Steelers game. Their DB's, especially Will Allen are playing poorly too. I think they will probably have a 8-8 season..
8-8? Worse than last year? Come on. Anyways, yes we were a bit overhyped, but it's too early to throw in the towel just yet. Two losses is nothing, this last game was a huge wakeup call for us. I have to admit Culpepper has been the main problem, even though our pass protection has been horrible. We gotta give it time though, Culpepper is working hard on trying to prove himself, he just needs to gain some confidence and get his timing back. Our secondary is definitely questionable, but I think its shown some improvement after week 1. Besides that pass interference play where Will Allen got burnt, our secondary was very solid against the Bills. There's a lotta new people in the secondary, and our best corner Travis Daniels is still out with an injury, but it should only improve seeing as it's Saban's specialty. Then of course there's our O-Line, I really don't know what to say, but I'm confident we can sort whatever problems there are out. Well, anyway our next game is against the Titans another winless team (and another game of our very favorible schedule) shouldn't be too tough a matchup, but obviously we've learned our lesson, we're not gonna come in too overconfident. They have a terrible run defense, so if we can just work Ronnie Brown (who's been great thus far, just hasn't had many opportunities to put up the big numbers with us always having to come from behind), establish a run game, and get a little cooperation from the passing game with Culpepper, we'll be fine. We're still very much in the thick of things and in no way should we be counted out as a playoff team. Go Dolphins!
The dolphins have looked terrible so far. I do expect them to start playing better but I really need ronnie brown and Daunte to start playing better because they are on my fantasy team and I need them to step up. The dolphins however could still possibly win the division if they get everything straightened up I mean they do still play the pats 2 times.
Vince Young is going to rock you.lol.OK here are my guesses:Tennessee: Loss, I think Tennessee will pull off a close one@ Houston: Win, Houston is crap@ New England: Loss, NE sucks, but I think they'll have enough to topple MIA@ Jets: Loss, final road game, I think they'll be tiredGreen Bay: WinBye@ Chi: LossKC: Win, if they stop LJMinn: Loss, barring injury, Minny will pull off a win@ Det: Win, Detroit is crapJacksonville: Loss, Jacksonville will lose next week, but will beat MIA later onNew England: Win. I think they'll want revenge, and it's a home game. I think they'll go 1-1 against NE on the year@Buffalo: LossNY Jets: Win, I think they'll split 1-1 with the Jets too@ Indy: LOL, if they win... -.-So I have them going 6-10
You think they'll lose to Tennessee? Why? Dolphins have a better defense, QB, RB, WR's. I dont understand..

He's been great for us thus far considering the number of touches he's been able to get. How could he possibly play better? He's no superman ya know, what were you excpecting with our below average line and a QB who's been off to a very rocky start.
I wouldn't say they were overrated there a good team but just like the Browns its a year of getting things together they got a few new players and they need to get to know each other give it some time it will come together.
I have watched both Dolphins games very closely, and been very disturbed and angry both games. This team as a whole is just dissapointing and I personally am worried about what I have seen. This team is having problems almost everywhere on the field. Overrated in the preseason is looking like an accurate assumption through two games.First off the line is just horrendous, giving up six sacks, Culpepper getting hit countless other times as he was throwing or just after. LJ Shelton is to fat and slow off the left tackle spot, he keeps getting beat. They keep wanting to use Randy Mcmichael as a blocking tight end, but he is a receiving tight end, and not to good at blocking. Saban needs to get in their asses and start whip this offensive line into shape, or this is not going to be a good season. Not only are they terrible at pass blocking, but this season their run blocking has not been to good either, especially in that Pittsburgh game. While the line has been horrible, they can not get all of the blame. Culpepper doesn't help them out to much, as he has held the ball a bit to long a couple of times which led to him getting sacked. He is to busy looking for a receiver to get open, he needs to realize the pressure is coming and move outside the pocket so he can throw the ball away and we don't keep getting into the long yardage situations we are in. Culpepper's pocket awareness has to be some of the worst in the NFL, and I think really hurting the Dolphins. The defense is trying, but on sunday kept getting screwed over by yardage situations. Two of the field goals from this weekend was with the Bills taking over the ball from the Buffalo 44 and the Bills only had to travel 20 some odd yards to get there. The other field goal, they took over the ball on Miami's 17 and moved back 8 yards and made a field goal. I'm not going to jump on the defense just yet, as they did not do an overly horrible job this week. I am happy with what I am seeing from Ronnie Brown though. He is a good back, and while he may not be as good of a pure runner as Ricky Williams, he more than makes up for it with his receiving skills out of the backfield. He is an excellent receiving back, and I think can help open up alot this offense if the Mularky uses him right. I would look to see Ronnie Brown get a good 20 or more carries this up coming week, and catch the ball out of the backfield a few times. We better beat Tennessee or I am going to seriously sit on the side walk and cry, and call this season over. I am just completely dissapointed with what I have seen from the Dolphins so far this season.
Hey valo, havn't seen you around here in a while. Good to have you back. Anyways, nice post, I feel you man. I agree, next game is almost like a must win to us. It can't get any easier than the Titans. Plus, if we start losing now in Septemeber-October (usually our good months, while it's warm), you know it's only gonna get tougher later on in the season when we have to go play other teams like the Bears at their homefield in the cold. I'm confident we're going to turn it around though.
LMAO @ Something-To-Say saying the Pats suck. HA HA HABest QB in the NFL (Brady)Very underrated tri-back system (Dillon, Maroney, Faulk), that can run for speed, power, and catch screen passesBetter WR core than we had when we won our first super bowl vs. the Rams (Jackson, Gabriel, Brown, Caldwell)Best TE group in the NFL (Watson, Graham)Underrated offensive lineTop notch D-Line (Wilfork, Warren, Seymour)Pretty good linebacking core (Seau, who looks amazing especially considering he retired, Bruschi, Vrabel, etc.)Much improved secondary from last year (Hobbs, Wilson, Harrison, etc)yeah, we really suck.

That will get you a ton of fantasy points.

Brady is the best QB in the League. He has a hell of alot more balls than Peyton Manning does. He is great under pressure, one of the most accurate QB's in the League, and he has led the Pat's to 3 championships.

I never said the Pats had the best D-Line. I said it was top notch, which it is. Oh yeah I also failed to mentioned Jarvis Green, who would start almost anywhere, who had 3 sacks and a FF vs Cincinatti.2. Better than Troy Brown and Fred Coleman in '02? Yeah it is buddy. 3. Brady's 3 Super Bowls and 2 Super Bowl MVP's, plus ONE career playoff loss speak for themselves.4. Faulk isn't big in it? Do you watch the Pats?5. Ben Watson and Daniel Graham ARE the best TE duo in the NFL.

I dont think anyone seriously expected them to beat the Pats, unless they are homers (cough Lightsout). Hey, they put out a pretty good eeffort.
